Another exciting year at MomoCon in Atlanta is in the books!
MomoCon 2026 welcomed 67,277 unique attendees, with more than 180,000 total turnstile attendance across all 4 days!
And I'm so happy to continue this yearly tradition with my oldest daughter, Lauren, to do all things nerdy like gaming, anime, animation, and comics.
MomoCon started for us way back in 2018, and we have been visiting every year since. Check out all my recaps below:
- MomoCon 2018
- MomoCon 2019
- MomoCon 2020 and 2021 didn't happen due to COVID-19
- MomoCon 2022
- MomoCon 2023
- MomoCon 2024
- MomoCon 2025
I always wonder how MomoCon will top the previous year, and they always impress me.
2026 was bigger than ever before, with not only being in Building B, but also returning to Building A, too! And, there were events at the Omni Hotel.
Goodness, MomoCon has grown so much that it now needs to be spread across two buildings at the Georgia World Congress Center and a hotel!
My Review of MomoCon 2026
So, we didn't do all four days; only 1 day on Friday, since Lauren needed to work Saturday and Sunday.
We could have gone on Thursday as well, when MomoCon started, but we chose to use that day to relax and prepare for the long day and night on Friday.
We had a game plan...downloaded the MomoCon app, saved the panels we wanted to attend, go to the vendor/artist hall, and the gaming hall.
Let me just say: our game plan failed... but not in a bad way!
We arrived at MomoCon a little after 10am on Friday, so Lauren could catch her first panel on the list: Goofy Goober Time: SpongeBob Trivia!!
She is a huge SpongeBob fan and couldn't miss it. And, I'm glad we attended, because it was fun reliving those goofy SpongeBob moments.
She wanted to be a contestant, but her number wasn't called in the lottery pick, but there was still crowd participation when the contestants on stage didn't know the answer.
After the SpongeBob trivia, we headed over to the Omni for another panel called: Anime-versary: 20, 30, and 40 Years Ago.
This panel looked back at landmark titles from 2006, 1996, and 1986 to see how anime animation has changed over the years and what has stayed the same.
Another good panel to relive shows people watched years back.
It was 2pm after the panel, so it was time to go to the vendor hall.
Once we got there, OMG, it was massive!!!!
We were there from 2pm until it closed at 7pm.
Since now, the vendor hall is the entire bottom of the B Building, with the Gaming Hall moved to the A Building, there are more vendors, artists, and a bigger car showcase!
Thank goodness I had on my walking sandals!

We walked every inch of the vendor hall, so we wouldn't miss anything, and that's how our plans got messed up.
We missed the scheduled panels and ended up having dinner late.
But it was worth it because there was so much to see and do at the vendor hall.
The highlight inside the vendor hall was Lauren meeting her favorite YouTuber since elementary school, CoryxKenshin!
Crazy how it happened...
So, we were walking the vendor hall, Lauren doing her usual shopping, and we were visiting and chatting with our favorite vendors. Then we came across a booth with a huge crowd and a line wrapped around it.
I was curious to know what was happening, so I asked the security guard what the line was for, and she told me it was a meet-and-greet with CoryxKenshin, who was promoting his new manga series.
When Lauren heard that, her eyes lit up with excitement! She wanted to meet him, too.
However, the security guard said the line is now closed, and Cory would be back tomorrow.
But the thing is, we wouldn't be back the next day because Lauren had to work.

| Look at CoryxKenshin looking directly at Lauren! |
She was bummed about it, but she snuck through the crowd, saw him with a fan taking pics, so snapped a quick picture of him.
She told me she couldn't wait to share her picture in her group chat with friends because they all liked him.
I asked her, " What made CoryxKenshin famous?"
She told me he is a popular YouTube gamer whom she has followed since the beginning of his career.
We walked away, but she was happy she had gotten a glimpse of him and a picture, so she could say she had seen him in person.
We continued walking around each aisle of the vendor hall until we reached the end.
We were about to leave; however, a guy stopped Lauren to talk about anime (actually, he was trying to ask her out).
I gave them space while I was looking at all the cars at the showcase, then noticed a small crowd around someone. I went to see, and it was CoryxKenshin!!!
Cory was taking pictures with fans as he was leaving the vendor hall.
I grabbed Lauren, and we went up to Cory. Lauren asked if she could take a picture with him, and he said, "Of course!"
As you can see in the picture, Lauren had the biggest smile on her face! That right there made her whole time at MomoCon complete!
Talk about being in the right place at the right time!
We ended MomoCon by visiting more panels and playing some video games until the next early morning.
Let's just say, MomoCon was another unforgettable memory we will both cherish forever!
But hopefully someday we will be able to do all 4 days, because 1 day just isn't enough anymore. We were rushing through it, trying to cram so much in 1 day. Very exhausting!
Oh, and by the way, this was the most walking we ever did at a con...over 30,000 steps!
I wouldn't be surprised if, 5 years from now, MomoCon were in all A, B, and C Buildings!
I'm calling it now!
