Comedy Barn Theater Pigeon Forge Review

Next door to Frizzle Chicken Farmhouse Cafe is a big red and yellow barn with a nightly family-friendly clean comedy show called Comedy Barn Theater.

Over the years, Comedy Barn Theater has become the world's most successful and attended clean comedy theater!

Part of what makes them so unique is that they provide thousands of laughs for people of all ages.

I've wanted to see this show for years but was always pressed for time due to my tight schedule.  Finally, however, I squeezed it in on this last trip to Pigeon Forge.

Before seeing the show, from looking at the brochures, I thought the comedy show would be mostly animal acts, but instead, it's a variety of acts outside of comedy, like magic acts, singing, clogging, juggling, and a ventriloquist.

Unlike the other shows I've visited, Dolly Parton's Stampede, Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, and Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud, Comedy Barn Theater is not a dinner show.  Still, they serve concession stand foods, like popcorn, nachos, ice cream, soda, and candy.  They also have a gift shop.

Before the show started at 7pm, I was told to arrive an hour early to pick up my tickets.  They keep your tickets at the box office and give it to you once you arrive; all you have to provide is your name.

Once inside, you get your picture taken (picture is $20), have a choice of getting some snacks, and then find your assigned seating.  I recommend using the bathroom during this time, so once the show starts, you don't have to get up in the middle of the show or go during intermission.

Before the show starts, someone will come to your seat and show you your picture to see if you would like to make a purchase.  If you're unsatisfied with your image, you can retake it during intermission.

Oh, and the laughs also start before the show begins, with one of the actors walking around the audience with a puppet in their hand, cracking jokes.  Also, there are two giant TV screens with the film crew showing live videos of the audience.

When the camera landed on Lauren, my oldest daughter, she started hiding her face by putting her hands over her face, making the whole crowd laugh.  So, that made the camera continuously land on her!  But it was all good fun!

The show runs for two hours with a 15-minute intermission in between.

The show was quite funny, and I love the fact that they had crowd participation.  So you'll see kids get on stage, as well as adults.

During the show I attended, when it came to animal acts, it was only one with parrots doing incredible tricks.  So, each show has a different animal act.

During the show's conclusion, they honor military personnel past and present by having them stand up so we all can thank them for their services.
