Get a No Makeup Look with Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

With the warmer days ahead, who wants to wear a full face of heavy makeup?  I usually do, but let's be honest, sometimes I feel like my makeup is going to melt off as the temperature creeps up.

During the sheltering in place due to the pandemic, I wasn't wearing makeup at all.  I allowed my face to breathe naturally for almost two months, paying closer attention to my skincare routine, and my skin has been healing so nicely, looking brighter and vibrant.

With Georgia back open, and me returning more outdoors, I started wearing makeup again, but it started feeling like my makeup was weighing my face down.  Plus, it's deep into spring, close to summer, and truthfully, I just don't want to wear foundations if I don't have to.

Even though my skin is clearer, with my dark marks fading more due to not wearing makeup for those two months, I still need to wear some type of light-weight makeup to give me a bit of coverage.  You know, that no-makeup, makeup look.

Before using, my first thought was, "Will this tinted moisturizer provides the coverage I need?"  I don't want to walk around blotchy, looking like my skin tone is uneven.

I took the tinted moisturizer out of the box, and the first thing I noticed is that the wrong color was sent to me.  Darn!  So, I had to improvise.

Fenty Beauty Concealer

I took the tinted moisturizer, applied it to my face with my fingers (using a makeup sponge the moisturizer started rubbing off into pieces), then added Fenty Beauty concealer to blend it all in, and also cover up my dark marks.

If you have dark marks, the tinted moisturizer will not fully cover it up, no matter the shade, so wearing a concealer with it is a must.

To set everything in place, I used the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder.

While checking myself out in the mirror, my face felt like I wasn't wearing makeup at all, and the tinted moisturizer gave my skin a natural glow.

This tinted moisturizer is excellent for those sunny days when you're just needing a hint of coverage, with a no-makeup look while keeping skin moisturized and hydrated.  You can even wear it year-round too!  The perfect middle ground if you don't want to wear foundation, but still want that luminous look.

And, I would like to mention that the moisturizer lasted all day without needing to reapply, and I wasn't looking oily either.

I'll need to pick up the correct shade for my skin tone to see if the coverage works better, so I can use less concealer.
