My Every Day Makeup Look with Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation

My Every Day Makeup Look with Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation

Hey, Y'all! I hope all is well with you! It's been a while since I have last updated you on what makeup I have been using nowadays since I been speaking about skincare products and my hair situation.

Last I shared, I was using the Fenty Beauty foundation by Rihanna. Well, I had to drop Fenty Pro Filt' R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation for something else because the color was making me look too red.

Now, don't get me wrong, Fenty is a great brand, and the foundations last the whole day. I even would get compliments on how beautiful my makeup would look. But, looking back at selfie photos of myself, I was not too fond of the red undertone.

My skin changes shades during each season. So, during the summer months, Fenty is perfect when my skin color is more of a reddish tone. But during the winter months, my undertone leans more towards yellow, so Fenty foundation looks off on me during the colder seasons.

I heard that Fenty has a new foundation called the Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation, and I wanted to give that a try to see if that would work for me during the winter. So, I went to my nearby Sephora to check it out.

In Search for a New Foundation at Sephora

While browsing around the store, one of the Sephora associates asked if I needed help. I did. I needed help knowing what color I would be with the new Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation by Fenty.

The Sephora associate wasn't too familiar with the Fenty brand but took me over to Lancome to show me their long-wearing, oil-free foundations.

The first thing I thought, walking over to Lancome, was, "Lancome is so old fashion! Wearing their stuff will make me feel old, just like when I use to wear Fashion Fair."  And remember when I tried Lancome's skin serum?

Also, Lancome brings back the horrid memories when I tried on their foundation stick years ago, and I looked pasty and cakey. Yuck!

But, the Sephora associate assured me that Lancome has gotten better, and their Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation was years in the making. Making sure the liquid foundation creates a flawless finish.

About Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation

This foundation was made for those ultra-long days that you do not have the time to retouch your makeup. Formulated with color-true NAI pigments, it maintains your skin’s pH level so that color stays put all day long, without caking or creasing. Plus, it’s infused with perlite and silica to ensure that excessive oils are absorbed, leaving behind a shine-free velvety matte complexion. Available in 50 medium to full coverage, buildable shades.

At first, I wasn't convinced. But, I allowed the Sephora associate to apply the Lacome foundation to my face to see for myself how it looks.

I was blown away how excellent the coverage was, color tone match, and how velvety smooth the foundation was. Plus, I didn't have that red undertone. Also, the foundation is lightweight and not greasy.

Sorry, Fenty Beauty; I'll have to revisit you in the summer! As for fall, winter, and maybe spring, I'll be using Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation.

Oh yeah, the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation truly lasts all day without needing to retouch. I'm very impressed by this! And, it doesn't transfer onto clothing either.

As for the setting powder from Lancome, I didn't care for it at all because there are only two translucent shades, light or dark, and the dark one had me looking way too dark and patchy. Lancome needs more shades.

Here is what I use for my everyday makeup look:

Face Primer: Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector

Foundation: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Foundation

Setting Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder

Eyebrows: MAC Spiked Eyebrow Pencil

Contouring and Highlight: bh Cosmetics Contour Palette

Blush: bh Cosmetics Floral Blush

Eye Liner: Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eye Liner

Setting Spray: Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

Lips: Savannah Bee Lip Balm

I see Fenty Beauty got these beauty brands creating makeup now for all skin types and colors, making them step up their game. That's why I'll continue to support Fenty Beauty and use their products. Plus, Fenty is more affordable.

Lancome is quite expensive, but their liquid foundations are well worth the cost.
