Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Coming to Theaters August 8th #TMNTMovie

Gosh, when I heard that The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was coming out with a new movie soon, I instantly felt old.

If you use to enjoy watching the show and movies, as well as playing with the TMNT toys, your childhood was awesome!

Now that I think about those heroes in a half shell, I think of Vanilla Ice doing one of his famous raps song, "Ninja Rap" for the classic TMNT II The Secret of the Ooze movie.  My favorite turtle character was none other than Michelangelo.

The 4 turtles, along with Master Splinter, April O'Neil, and Shredder has been around for a long time with a different look on Nick.  My girls haven't really been watching the new show since they believe it is more for boys.

One day, I happen to walk into their room and the trailer for the new TMNT came on and boy does those turtles look manly with chiseled abs, but the movie looks like it'll be interesting and action packed.

  1. I remember me and my brothers going to the movies to watch these movies back in the day. My husband and I were talking about TMNT a couple of months ago (he is a big comic book fan) and I didn't remember the Vanilla Ice video so we were on youtube looking at that video. I wasn't a big Vanilla Ice fan, so I didn't even remember him doing songs for the TMNT soundtrack. However, I was Hammer crazy...lol.

  2. I loved the original TMNT movies (well the first 2). I used to watch them almost everyday when I was younger. The Vanilla Ice performance was probably my favorite scene from both of them!

  3. I watched the TMNT as a kid at the movie theater. When I heard another movie was being made I was like 'huh'? But then after seeing all the turtle merchandise .. which is taking over stores...I realized that the movie might actually be a hit.
