Must-Have Non-Toxic, Eco-Ethical, Vegan Sunscreen from DERMA-E and Thinksport

Summertime is upon us, and it's time to bring out those swimsuits, flip flops, summer dresses, pool floaties, and of course, the most important is a skin protectant. You don't want to damage your skin while having all-day fun in the sun.

I express all the time the importance of wearing sunscreen to protect against UV exposure and help lower your risk of skin cancer and sun damage.

But not all sunscreen is created equal. You must find the one that doesn't have harmful chemicals.

DERMA-E and Thinksport have teamed up to provide your family with non-toxic, eco-ethical, vegan sun care for the summer season. Their sunscreens are suitable for all skin types and conditions, each formulated to be safe for your body, reef-safe, and the environment as well.

Other Ways to Protect Yourself from the Sun

  • If you can, try to limit your time in the sun, especially from 10am- 2pm. Those are the times when the sun's rays are the strongest.

  • Wear long-sleeve shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.

  • Reapply sunscreen every two hours.

  • Use a water-resistant sunscreen (Thinksport) if swimming or sweating.

  • Avoid using tanning oils, and avoid sun tanning and tanning beds.

  • Sit in a shaded area.

  • Be careful near water and sand because damaging rays reflect from it, increasing the chance of sunburns.
