Go shawty, it's your birthday! We're gonna party like it's your birthday!
That's right everyone, yo girl is having a birthday today! Woot Woot! I am 31! Time to turn up, turn up, turn up!
LOL! Who am I kidding? My birthday is just another day for me. I don't do big celebrations, I just have 2 family birthday dinners to celebrate my big day. Mr. M takes the girls and I to my favorite restaurant Benihana because I love watching the chef put on a show while cooking our meals and their food is scrumptious, plus they give me a $30 off dinner certificate to spend on my dinner each year!
For my 2nd birthday dinner, my parents rides down from Memphis to Atlanta for the weekend to take the whole family out to celebrate my day.
This year, my parents may not come because I'm attending Type-A conference during my birthday weekend, which will be my first conference I'll be attending. I seriously hope I enjoy this conference because I hate to miss out spending time with my folks, I only see them about once or twice a year.
Oh yeah, a gift to myself for turning 31, the girls and I did our first photo shoot with Tiffany Powell, a wonderful photographer here in Atlanta. She captured some great moments of the girls and I and I couldn't have asked for a better child friendly photographer. Tiffany has great prices and she travels to her clients too, check her out!
Here is a sneak peek of some of the photos from the shoot
Last year before I turned 30, I was dreading it. I felt like turning 30 is the beginning of when my life starts going downhill, but it was totally the opposite when I did turn 30. I've accomplished a lot, and very proud of the things I got to do. I have to say, last year was such a amazing year for me and I see great things happening for me while being 31 too!
Like the saying goes, "wine taste better with age." So I'm raising my glass up and toasting to another fabulous year!
Thank you everyone for the kind birthday wishes, it really means a lot!
