During spring break, I got a chance to drive around in the new 2021 Buick Encore GX Essence-FWD! It was my first time being behind the wheel of a Buick vehicle; however, not my first time being a passenger in one.
When I found out that I would be driving a Buick for a week, my first thought was, "Oh, great, I'll be in a car for retirees!"
My previous thoughts had me eating my words because the 2021 Encore GX is an excellent car for anyone looking for a compact SUV that adapts to your every need.
And remember I said I was a passenger in a Buick before?
Mr. M had one, and it brought back memories of when I was in labor with Lauren and him and I being stuck in traffic in his Buick LeSabre on our way to the hospital. I remember him playing soothing music in his car to help calm me down and assuring me that we will get to the hospital before having our baby.
Even back then, I still thought Buicks were for the older generation. But, it looks like Buick has come a long way in appealing to all consumers.
When the 2021 Buick Encore GX first was dropped off at my driveway, I noticed the front grille. The more comprehensive grille look with a splash of red design gave the SUV an edgy appearance.
The stylish look doesn't stop there! The exterior and interior give off a polished image that's sharp and modern—definitely a head spinner.
Checking out the inside interior, you notice the caramel luxurious leather seating. The leather is smooth like butter, making you ready to settle in and take the Encore GX for a ride.
The media world is at your fingertips with the 2021 Buick Encore GX Essense! Encore GX offers a personalized, powerful, and connected driving experience with the Buick Infotainment System with a suite of In-Vehicle Apps and available Alexa Built-In; you can bring the things you love everywhere you go.
The navigation system was one of the best I've used! It helped me save time and money by helping me avoid traffic and finding better routes, plus avoiding tolls. The crystal clear navigation display showed the nearest gas stations, lodging, and even food establishments during my travels.
Even though Encore GX is one of the smaller SUVs in the lineup and easy to maneuver in and out of tight spaces, the navigation system's display camera came in handy to assist with backing up, parking, etc. getting through tight spots.
There are other technology features inside that can't go unnoticed like:

- Apple Carplay and Andriod Auto Compatibility
- SiriusXM Radio
- Marketplace Apps with Yelp Reservations

If you're looking for a good quality vehicle and not needing too much space like the Buick Enclave, the 2021 Encore GX Essence-FWD is a good choice!
