Check Out My Favorite Rides Presented at Atlanta International Auto Show

2020 Lexus RX 350 SUV

You know spring is around the corner when the Atlanta International Auto Show is in town.

I missed out on the auto show last year but made sure to be there this time.  The auto show is an excellent place for me to see my favorite brands all in one place, and note the vehicles that I would like to review for the current year and future.  Also, it's a good learning experience to get in-depth knowledge about cars, so I can share what I learn here with you all.

Mr. M and I went together for the first time to the show, so he can see what it's like attending as apart of media day.  Of course, we both were late due to dropping off the girls to school and being stuck in Atlanta traffic.

Due to our delay, we missed out on several presentations, like JEEP, Alfa Romeo, and Nissan.

But let's chat a bit about some of the cars I did see that stuck out to me.

2020 C8 Corvette

All-New 2020 C8 Corvette

Chevrolet presented the All-New 2020 C8 Corvette; it's the first mid-engine sports car.  The Stingray Corvette is one powerful vehicle that every sports car lover wants to have.  It may not be an everyday vehicle, but undoubtedly one that you would want to drive daily.  What's new, the 2020 Corvette offers a first-ever production retractable hardtop.   The new Corvette was created with this generation in mind.  The base price starts at $58,900.

I can see myself driving it once I become an empty-nester.  I'll remove the hardtop on warm, sunny days, while cruising around town, letting the warm breeze blow through my hair.  It's like the fresh smell of freedom!  Ha! 😅

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E

2021 All-Electric Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV

Did you hear the news?  For the first time in 55 years, Ford is introducing the first all-electric Mustang SUV, Mach-E!  Now, Mustang fans with families can enjoy the thrills of the famous pony car too.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E races to the front of the EV pack with a minimum range of 210 miles and a maximum range of 300 miles.  Equipped with powerful electric motors capable of producing up to 459 hp and a pavement-peeling 612lb-ft of torque, the Mach-E will reach 60 mph as quick as 3.5 seconds, which is faster than nearly anything with a gasoline engine costing less than half a million dollars.

In addition to its impressive performance, you can't help but admire the beautiful sleek exterior design.  The Mach-E got that smooth, glossy look that will have heads spinning for sure.  The Mach-E had me all googly-eyed by its beauty.

I would love to take the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E for a spin!  And looking at the inside interior, the car would fit my family of four comfortably.

Great job, Ford, for giving families an option to have a sports car as well!  The base price for the 2021  Ford Mustang Mach-E is starting at $43,895 and will be coming in the fall of 2020.

2020 Lexus RX 350

2020 Lexus RX 350

I got my eye on Lexus RX 350 as my next family vehicle once my girls start driving, and thinking of passing down my current car to them.

I have always been a massive fan of Toyota's luxury brand Lexus, and RX practically invented the luxury SUV.  The premium RX 350 has all the bells and whistles to keep all occupants in this seven-passenger SUV happy.

I was showing Mr. M my future car and told him to start saving now because this is the vehicle I want or Lexus NX 300, which is a bit smaller but still has all the top features like the RX 350.

2021 Genesis GV80

2021 Genesis GV80

I don't know much about Genesis vehicles, but when I saw the 2021 Genesis GV80 while everyone hovered over it, instantly, I fell in love with its striking styling.

The 2021 Genesis GV80 is the first-ever SUV from Genesis, designed around real needs and wants, respecting how you actually live.  This SUV will have you feeling like VIP for sure!  This vehicle is definitely on my list to review someday.

While browsing around the showroom floor, noticeably absent was Mercedes, Porche, BMW, even Mazda!  Where are these auto brands?  Why didn't they have vehicles in the show?

From what I heard, these brands pulled out of being in auto shows because they like to do shows of their own.

Well, understandable, but I would have loved to have seen what new cars they have to offer.

Overall, Atlanta International Auto Show was good seeing the newest vehicles on display, including getting a peek at exotic cars.

  1. The seats in that Genesis, luxe! They just posted the price point on Instagram, less than 50K but with bells and whistles the price is probably a bit steep. It's a pretty SUV though!
