It's springtime and the weather is heating up quickly. Michelle got a new bike for her birthday, so she's been going for rides in the park while I've been trying to stay active by taking daily walks. I'm hoping to get my weight back under control because I've been gaining and losing weight like a yo-yo lately.
Last week, I asked my followers on Instagram if they change up their skincare products they use each season, and the majority responded that they do. I'm that way myself because my skin reacts differently in warmer and colder climates. During the warmer months, my skin is more oily and winter it's dry needing lots of moisture.
Even though I do change up my skincare routine seasonally, I do use some skincare products throughout the whole year like DERMA-E Microdermabrasion Scrub. No matter the season, as I age, I need to buff away the dullness and roughness to keep my youthful appearance.
Now that it's spring/summer time, I can scrub away all the sweatiness and have a natural sunshine glow.
After I've been told that washing my face with facial products that contain oil helps give my skin balance, I started using DERMA-E Nourishing Rose Cleansing Oil after washing with my Black African Soap. The black soap makes my skin quite dry, making it produce extra unneeded oil, so my face ends up looking greasy. Adding the cleansing oil afterward gives my skin a natural balance.
If you haven't realized by now, I've been on a healthy skin journey trying to fade away my dark marks so I can start wearing less makeup, eventually no makeup at all. The only time I'm without makeup is when I go to the gym, and sometimes at the park for my walks.
I'd love to know do you change your skincare routine each season?
