JCPenney Helping Me Celebrate Easter Traditions with My Girls

Hey Yall!  Can you believe it?  We're already in April, spring is in high gear, and Easter is just around the corner, April 16th!  Like whoa...slow down time, I'm starting not to keep up!

A couple of weeks ago, I was working on my laptop in my zone minding my own business, then Mr. M interrupted asking me when is Easter because everyone on his Facebook timeline was discussing spring break and Easter.

At the time, I didn't know when Easter was.

I looked at my schedule and was shocked to see Easter was creeping up fast.

Curious to know, I asked Mr. M what would be our plans for Easter this year?  Church?  Easter Egg Hunt?  Go out for brunch?

But you know men, they never have a clue.  Mr. M gave me a blank look, and a shrug then exited the room.  So judging from that gesture plans falls all on me.

Girls are getting older; no longer do they believe in Mr. Peter Cottontail.  The truth was exposed about these made up characters this past winter holiday when Michelle caught me redhanded about Elf on the Shelf and Lauren heard me wrapping Christmas gifts in my room.

The girls are tweens now, so with them not believers family traditions are starting to change a bit in my household.

So, for Easter this year, the girls expressed that doing their yearly Easter Egg Hunt at the nearby mall with the younger kids is too juvenile for them.  No more Easter baskets filled with little kid toys, and no more Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.

These girls are growing up way too fast on me; I'll be missing all these special moments we use to share together.

But one thing that hasn't changed is the girls dressing up in the finest Easter dresses with me snapping cute photos of them prancing around like gitty little schoolgirls.  I look back at all of the photos throughout the years reminiscing about how cute and adorable they were and still is.  I hope this tradition continues for years to come with me taking pictures of them.

Before our spring break trip to LA, I took the girls to their favorite department store, JCPenney to check out their extensive selection of gorgeous dresses for teen girls.

"I want this mom!  No, I want this!"

My girls wanted it all!  Dresses were all super trendy that young ladies their age are wearing today, age appropriate that I appreciate. Shoot...even I see myself wearing some of these dresses.  If only I were as small as I was in high school.  LOL!

With new dresses, the girls needed cute sandals too.  They picked pairs that fit their personal style, plus they'll be wearing them throughout the spring and summer season.

With both girls getting new dresses and sandals, I only spent like $50!  That's why I love shopping for clothes and shoes at JCPenney; you get high-quality, stylish pieces at a great value every day from leading private, exclusive and national brands!

Although it's not Easter just yet, I took the girls pictures with them in their Easter dresses at a nearby park.

With plans changing, I want to make sure I get the perfect shot of them because Easter Sunday we may just do brunch, then have a family day at home.

Check out my girls!

Lauren picked a dressed that resembles her favorite amine character, Sailor Moon.  Dress gives the look of sailor schoolgirl chic.  I love the way the dress flairs out with collar giving a tailored, sophisticated, time-less look.  Suits Lauren style to the T!

Michelle is bringing out her Egyptian goddess with her yellow pastel sheer lace dress.  Dress is super playful with Michelle bouncing up and down in it.  Wind blowing, the dress gives a powerful statement that demands attention.

  1. You definitely have your hands full. As long as they know the reason for the season all is good. Happy Good Friday and wishing you all a blessed Resurrection Sunday.

  2. They both look beautiful in their dresses 😍 This year both kids have Easter speeches at church so we will be going to church on Sunday. Then going to an Easter Egg Hunt after church.

  3. They look so cute in their Easter outfits. I remember getting Easter outfits for church when I was a kid. Since I have boys, I typically don't get them special outfits for Easter, but they do go to some eggs hunts and have a blast doing that.
