We were invited free as media to attend Medieval Times, all opinions are our own

Hello, My Lords and My Ladies!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  I wanted to share with y'all my time visiting North America’s most popular dinner attraction, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament here in Atlanta.

Attending Medieval Times was my first time, but the girls went once before on a field trip with their daycare.  I remember them mentioning to me that they enjoyed going and wanted to go back, but it would always slip my mind to go.  I'm so glad I had the opportunity to experience it last week.

We caught the evening show on Wednesday, and I was surprised how pack it was of people, and also was amazed at the inside look.  The decor made you feel like you have walked into a castle time warping back to ten centuries ago.  You see Kings, Queens, and servants walking around authentically dressed in medieval outfits.  Too cool!

Lauren didn't clean her room, so OFF WITH HER HEAD!!!!!

Before everything got started, we were told what team we were going to be on and what side.  East versus West and we were on the West side representing Team Yellow.  Go Westside!!!!

Media got to go backstage where all the magic happens to get the inside scoop on how the Knights get ready for shows.  One of the Knights was our tour guide and he explained to us that the decor at Medieval Times is a replica of Majorca and Benidorm, Spain.  All battle gear are real, and that includes swords and other weapons used in the shows.  We even got to see the horses in their stables.  Wow, they are such beautiful, majestic animals.  Their coats were shiny; they appeared well taken care of; they look graceful and vigorous.

I was curious to know if the horses ever see the outside world, happy to know they do, they visit a nearby ranch often.

There is a total of 23 horses at Medieval Times, with 18 horses used in the show.

After our tour, we waited around a bit before the girls were called to do their Junior Knight Training.  Them, along with other children got to train with the Knights on the ground floor.  I took a Facebook Live video of it if you care to watch.

Our feast and tournament followed after that.

When the show began, we were served our drinks with tomato soup with a slice of garlic bread.  In the middle of the show, we were served the rest of our dinner.  The food was good, better than I expected.  The juicy chicken served to us was a big piece, so big I couldn't eat it all.  And oh yeah, no utensils must eat food with bare hands.  But no worries, the servers provides a warm wet towel to clean your hands.

My goodness, those fight scenes looked so real and powerful, had me afraid that someone would get hurt.  Swords clashing sparks were flying, Knights jousting, horses showing off their two-step, the show had me on the edge of my seat giving a big cheer for our team.

Team Yellow was winning at first but ended up losing.  Boo!  However, Team Yellow is on the West Side, and West Side won the tournament!  Yay!  West Side is the best side!!!

The Knights came out and greeted all the guest, snapped photos, and signed autographs.  What a great way to end our night!  The show is a must-see if you haven't gone yet.  I wish I didn't wait so long to go, and the funny thing is Medieval Times is 20 minutes away from my house!

  3. This was always the highlight of our annual Orlando vacation trips. I still have pictures of the boys with their fake muscle pics - now they are grown with muscles of their own. I loved this attraction and it looks like the girls did too!
