I received 3 months of Rocksbox jewelry for free in exchange for my review.  All opinions are my own.

I’m a girl that loves to wear jewelry statement pieces to go along with my outfits; they really enhance my outfit!  I can be wearing such the simplest outfit but once I have on a chucky necklace and some stud earrings I look like a star!  LOL!  But seriously, I feel like a star though.

I don’t really have as many jewelry because for one I don’t like to pay a lot when it comes to jewelry and two I only like to wear a few of my favorites, and then three I hate to have my dresser cluttered with jewelry tangled and all over the place!

Some people like to change their jewelry each season and I’m sort of that way but like I said before I hate to have jewelry all over the place.

Rocksbox contacted me recently to try out their jewelry services and to give my thoughts about it.  They are like the Netflix of jewelry services; you get designer jewelry you can rent and when you’re done you ship it back and get another set of jewelry.  Also, if you love your jewelry you received so much and can’t let it go you have the option to keep it by paying the full price for it.

Here is how Rocksbox Works:

  • You Become a Shine Insider when you sign up.  (You take a style survey and add jewelry you want on your wish list)

  • Get 3 Pieces to wear on loan ($19 for unlimited jewelry rental and you get $10 monthly shine spend each month to apply towards a purchase.)

  • Return anytime to get 3 new pieces.

  • Shipping is free both ways

My Review

Like pretty much all other subscription boxes you fill out a survey to determine what your style is.  The survey lasted for about 2 minutes and then I was asked for my credit card information and shipping information.

Once I filled out those details I was shown several different kinds of jewelry that fit my style.  I added several pieces to my wish list so Rocksbox can send me jewelry that I wanted.

I wanted to mention that I’m not a thrifter, so wearing jewelry that other people have worn made me question if Rocksbox clean their jewelry before they ship it out to people?  I know gently used clothes are usually not washed before it goes on sale for purchase so the thought really made me go hmmm.  With Rocksbox you're not allowed to use soap, cleaning agents, and hard chemicals so I really hope they clean their jewelry before they send it out to people.

After I made my selections within a week or so my jewelry set was shipped and delivered!   I didn’t know what set I had in my box and I love getting surprises!

I love how Rocksbox personalized my jewelry box with a note saying, “Hey Louida”, which made me feel special.  Inside the note had a rating sheet of how much I like and dislike my jewelry set so they know what to send me next time.

I got what I wished for and loved my necklaces but wasn’t too fond of my earrings, they looked like nail screws to me and the size of those studs are not large enough.

This necklace is edgy and gives a rebel feel.

My favorite statement necklace so far.

Rocksbox mentioned on their site that their designer jewelry set on average is worth $200 and by the looks of this jewelry I don’t think it is worth that much.  I feel the jewelry are more of a costume style jewelry that is worth less, maybe more like $100 or less for the set.

Is RocksBox.com Worth a Try?

I say yes if you’re into having different pair of jewelry to wear.  For $19 a month it is well worth the price. No longer do you have to purchase jewelry you may get tired of later on or it becomes outdated.
