Curly girls, I recently discovered a brand that you need to add to your haircare list: Original Dippity-Do!
I'm just learning about Dippity-Do since they gifted me several of their Girls with Curls haircare products.
I feel embarrassed that I didn't know about this brand, a drugstore staple since the 1960s!

Three products were sent to me: Dippity-Do Leave-In Detangling Conditioner, Curl-Boosting Mousse, and Gelee. I'll share my thoughts on each in the order you use them.
Dippity-Do Leave-In Detangling Conditioner
What it is: A weightless leave-in conditioner spray that detangles and conditions in one step. Honey, coconut, and macadamia oils absorb fast to soften and strengthen hair.
How to Use: Apply to towel-dried hair, distributing evenly from roots to tips. Gently scrunch hair to enhance curl formation.
My thoughts: After washing my hair and drying it with my towel, my hair is one big poof ball. Without a leave-in conditioner, my hair is hard to comb. With the Dippity-Do Leave-In Detangling Conditioner, it rejuvenates my dry curls and brings them back to life, while also making it easy to detangle my hair. It has a foam consistency, so it leaves no heavy residue like cream leave-in conditioners.
Dippity-Do Curl-Boosting Mousse
What it is: Lightweight 3-in-1 curl-boosting mousse packed with style-worthy ingredients (Olive oil, Hibiscus Flower Extract, and Moringa Seed Extract) to enhance natural curls. This mousse gives frizz-free curls with body and bounce.
How to Use: Dispense mousse into hands and apply to hair as required. Focus application at the roots for additional volume. Style as usual, then use a diffuser for best results.
My Thoughts: I love how this mousse gives my curly hair body and volume, plus moisture and hydration. Some styling mousse leaves my hair dry and tangled, but Dippity-Do Curl-Boosting Mousse has my curls defined and soft, without crunch. I can honestly use this mousse without gel.
Dippity-Do Gelee
What it is: Define your curls with natural aloe, vitamin E, and wheat protein to help eliminate frizz for soft, silky, healthy-looking curls—a long-lasting formula with a natural feel that's never stiff or crunchy.
How to Use: Apply to towel-dried hair and distribute evenly from roots to tips. Gently scrunch to enhance curl formation. To finish, apply to dry hair to refine and control curls.
My Thoughts: The gelee is lighter in texture than other gels I've used, so I wasn't sure my curls would hold up all day, especially in the heat. However, this gelee delivers on its promise, providing hold while leaving my curls soft, structured, and wonderfully shiny. You can use the gelee on its own or pair it with mousse. I personally prefer using it with mousse for added hold.
I would like to mention that all three products smell incredibly good. It's like a soft, fresh, fruity scent.
Overall, I'm so glad I discovered Dippity-Do! These products have truly transformed my hair routine, allowing me to embrace my curls in a way I never thought possible.
Each item works beautifully together, making my styling process smoother and more enjoyable. I can't help but smile every time I catch a glimpse of my curls in the mirror; they look healthy, vibrant, and full of life!
