What a way to kick-start my birthday month by driving around America's most awarded and best-selling minivan, the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle AWD!
While minivans are often associated with families with young children, I had a great time driving one around town, especially while attending Dragon Con, going to a spooky museum, and running my regular errands.
Since my kids are adults now, I no longer have to navigate car rider lanes or chauffeur them to extracurricular activities. However, the combination of luxury, versatility, and advanced technology in this minivan made me feel like I was living the high life of an empty nester.
When it comes to the Chrysler Pacifica, I'm no stranger to it. Mr. M often drives it for work. He likes that, with the Stow'n Go feature, he can transport his boxes of products to his customers.
He also has a colleague with a Chrysler Pacifica that he praises highly. He's had it for several years, and it has never let him down.
When the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica was dropped off to me, I noticed that it had a bit of a glow-up!
The grille is now illuminated with vertical LED headlamps and updated badging. Check out the difference! Doesn't it look like the 2027 model has stepped into the future, with a futuristic vibe?
The front end is updated, while the body style is a bit the same as the 2026 model.
After driving the minivan for a week, I discovered things I loved and disliked about it. Here are my thoughts:
Pro
Safety Features: I care a lot about safety features in any car I drive. The Chrysler Pacifica helps keep you safe on the road with a 360-degree surround-view camera system, so you can see all around the vehicle. This camera comes in handy when you're parking. Plus, ParkSense activates while you're parking.
Another new safety feature on the 2027 model is Turn Signal Activated Blind Spot View. When you're driving and turn on your blinker, it activates the camera to show you whether it is safe to change lanes.
Hands-Free: The Chrysler Pacifica offers hands-free sliding doors and a power liftgate. When your hands are full, this feature comes in handy.
Comfort: The leather bucket seats are extremely comfortable, making driving a pleasurable experience. Plus, the leather seating with copper stitching gives the van a luxurious look inside. The second row also gets to enjoy comfy captain seats.
FamCam: When you have kids in the back seat and wonder what is going on behind you, you can get a bird's-eye view of the 2nd and 3rd row seating at the press of a button on the infotainment screen. This is a great feature, especially while you're driving and don't want to get distracted.
Handling and Ride Quality: The Chrysler Pacifica offers car-like agility with light steering and a smooth, stable ride. I was impressed by how lightweight this minivan feels, like I was driving a four-door sedan. It starts and takes off so quickly.

Navigation: Navigation is a must-have feature in any vehicle; however, I wasn't impressed with the Chrysler Pacifica's system because when I entered an address I wanted to drive to, it took the system 30 seconds (I timed it) to find it. When I'm hitting the road, I like to get moving quickly, not waiting for the system to search for the address I entered.
There are more Pros than Cons with the 2027 Pacifica Pinnacle AWD, and I see why there are so many on the road today. It is such a versatile van that fits so many needs.
