Tasting Smoothie King's New 'Power Eats' Menu

Louida Martin from Product Review Mom at Smoothie King

Have you stopped by your local Smoothie King and tried their new menu yet?

Smoothie King, the world's leading smoothie brand, has announced expanding into food with the nationwide debut of its first-ever food menu.

Smoothie King Hearty Loaded Toasts

The new "Power Eats" menu marks a significant milestone in the brand's 50-year history as it explores ways to complement its celebrated lineup of nutritious and delicious smoothies with fresh, wholesome food options.

Tasting Smoothie King's New 'Power Eats' Menu

The "Power Eats" menu is designed to pair with and complement smoothies. It features high-protein, flavorful options with premium ingredients.

I recently went to a Smoothie King's taste-testing event, and here is what the new Power Eats Menu includes and my thoughts about each item:

Smoothie King Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Avocado Toast

Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Avocado Toast

100% avocado spread over toasted 8-grain bread and topped with everything seasoning (9g protein)

My Thoughts: I can tell that it is made with real avocado, and the flavor is savory, with the everything seasoning you find on bagels.

Smoothie King Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Chocolate Hazelnut Toast

Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Chocolate Hazelnut Toast

Chocolate hazelnut spread over toasted 8-grain bread, with fresh blueberries and strawberries, then topped with Purely Elizabeth granola (11g protein)

My Thoughts: Smoothie King uses premium-brand granola, which you can find in stores like Whole Foods and Sprouts. I'm not a big fan of hazelnuts, but the toast is tasty and has a mellow chocolate taste. Also, eating this toast can get messy.

Smoothie King Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Peanut Butter Toast

Hearty 8 Grain Loaded Peanut Butter Toast

All-natural peanut butter spread over toasted 8-grain bread, topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries, and bananas, with a drizzle of honey (13g protein)

My Thoughts: This toast tastes like an adult peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The toppings make the toast a bit messy, but they're great for satisfying your sweet tooth craving with a healthier option.

Eggs & Cheese Protein Box

Two hard-boiled eggs, cheddar, Monterey, and pepper jack cheese, fresh strawberries, and blueberries with flax and sea salt crackers.

My Thoughts: This box is like a charcuterie board on the go. It's a great snack between meals.

Smoothie King Vegan Pumpkin Smoothie

Pumpkin D-Lite and Vegan Pumpkin Smoothies

Smoothie King's protein-packed pumpkin smoothies are the best way to get your fall flavor fix without sugar-loaded syrups or artificial flavors! They are high in protein and made with organic pumpkin puree.

My Thoughts: I tried both smoothies before the event, with the Pumpkin D-Lite Smoothie being my favorite. Actually, Pumpkin D-Lite has been my go-to fall smoothie since last year. Regarding Vegan Pumpkin, I'm not a fan of the taste. It kind of tastes odd, as if it is missing something.

Of all the food and drink items I tried, my favorites are the Pumpkin D-Lite Smoothie (this smoothie is more of a treat), avocado toast, peanut butter toast, and the eggs and cheese protein box.

Also, I'm hearing news that Smoothie King is gearing up to bring more food options in the new year. So, basically, competing with Tropical Smoothie.

If you have a Smoothie King near you, try out their new "Power Eats" items. These foods pair well with all their smoothie selections.

Make sure to check out other Smoothie King's Smoothies I've tried.
