This collection of tees is bold, colorful, showing the beauty of black excellence. I'm thankful for JCPenney coming together with black creators to create these proud statement t-shirts that people can wear not only during Black History Month but also throughout the year as well.
JCPenney is celebrating Black History Month with Hope & Wonder™, a private label brand of apparel for everyone in the family with gifts, accessories, and home products designed to commemorate moments that matter.
During these events, JCPenney will donate 100% of net profits from these collections to nonprofit partners that amplify their Philanthropic mission to help close the opportunity gap for under-resourced youth and Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) commitment to building a culture of belonging.
Black History Month Collection Designed In-House
The Hope & Wonder brand collection was created and curated in-house for the first time by JCPenney’s Creative Coalition, an internal team of BIPOC designers. Inspired by the National Black History Month 2022 Black Health and Wellness theme, the JCPenney Creative Coalition produced fashion and home accessories to complement three design themes — Mind, Body, Soul; Black History Pride; and Brilliantly Black & Black Girl Magic. Items range from inclusive size sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, and baby onesies to home accessories like mugs, notebooks, and planners, available now in stores and on jcp.com/m/black-excellence.

And the celebration doesn't stop there!
JCPenney retails a variety of black-owned brands, too, from hair care products, and beauty brands.
Make sure to check out Design Essentials, a natural and textured haircare brand that provides premium treatments and styling products for over 30 years.
Another black-owned haircare brand that JCPenney retails is Urban Hydration that creates naturally inspired products that achieve beautiful results and are gentle enough for the entire family.
And I can't forget about one of my favorite beauty brands, Fenty Beauty! Rihanna changed the game by creating beauty for all, making sure everyone is included filling in the void of lack of representation of people of color.
I love that stores are doing this now. I know some people may not like it but I'm here for it. Target has a bunch of stuff that I bought.
ReplyDeleteI love this too! I don't know why people would be mad about this when they've been crying about not being represented by big brands. Now, these brands are, and they're still mad! I'm sick of all the whining and complaining that has been going on in our community lately.
DeleteThank you for sharing. I haven't been in JC Penney this year, may check it out
