I wasn't at the LA screening, but the girls and I went to the advance screening here in Atlanta Tuesday night.  No celebrities were in attendance, only V103 to hype the crowd up before the show.

Thanks to Atlanta traffic, the girls and I got to the theater right when the movie was starting, so that left us sitting close to the front.  But that was actually a good thing since the film is in 3D it felt I was right there with the movie feeling every vibration and like the cars were coming right out to me.

As for my thoughts about the film, it was great.  I haven't seen the previous Cars movies so I can't compare them.  But Cars 3 will have you wanting more at the end.

With me not seeing the other Cars films, I thought I would have a hard understanding who was who, and what was going on.  From beginning to end I was able to follow along and got to know the characters from the franchise, and was introduced to new ones.

I will admit, the movie did have some slow moments, but it sure did pick up.

The main character Lightning McQueen will have you rooting for him, although he feels like he is now part of the old screw of cars overshadowed by the new generation of race vehicles.

Lightning McQueen meets with a special trainer that will show him he is still worthy.

Without spoiling the film, I will say it's not all about Lightning McQueen.  The light will be shined more on another character that will show that all cars, no matter skill level are strong and fearless.

This film represents empowerment, being fearless, and going for your goals.  It'll have you cheering.  Everyone, including girls, will love this movie.  And no worries, there isn't adult humor or crazy antics like a lot of kid films nowadays.  This one is enjoyable and wonderfully made.

Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!

  2. I think I recall seeing the other Cars movies with the boys. They have been talking about wanting to see this, but with being stuck in traffic for 2 hours on our way back from KD last weekend I think I just want to relax at home this weekend.
