Hey Yall! Atlanta was like a deserted town over the weekend, looking like everyone hit the road to Houston to see the Falcons play in the Super Bowl. Me, on the other hand, was enjoying less traffic and crowds on Saturday while we were out and about.
Sunday, was all about watching the big game in the comfort of our home. But I'm tellin' ya... if my Raiders would've been in the Super Bowl, my butt would be out there in Houston too, partying. Seriously!
On Saturday, the girls and I went to Children's Museum of Atlanta to preview their new exhibit. "From Here to There," the exhibit helps children explore the science of how things move by land, sea, and air. Ride a hovercraft to experience air pressure, turn up the heat to launch a colorful hot air balloon, and float a boat to experiment with air flow. Lift, launch and levitate your way through hands-on exhibits that make learning about gravity, friction, and the laws of motion fun!
The girls had hands-on learning fun exploring all the different experiments, running to each of them checking out how they worked. The girls pretty much stayed at the new part of the museum because it kept their interest.
However, I can tell that my girls are starting to age out of this museum since it's more catered to younger kids. I can remember like yesterday Children's Museum of Atlanta was one of the first places we visited when we moved to Atlanta. I was nine months pregnant with Michelle, Lauren was a one-year-old having me waddling all over the place trying to catch up with her throughout the museum. It's like my girls grew up with this museum. It's going to be hard not visiting anymore, why must my girls grow up so fast?
"From Here to There" exhibit is open now through May 29, 2017, don't miss out!
Disclosure: The girls and I received media passes to preview new exhibit, all opinions are our own.
The boys haven't been to out Children Museum in a while. Your post has me churning my wheels about when we can take a trip across the water to see what new is going on there. Looks like your girls had a great time.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Our Children's Museum is under construction and it promises to be something real special when it's done. I'll probably go with the gbabies.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really cool exhibit. I love Children's museums and my kids do too. We are always excited to visit the new exhibit when they come to our local children's museum.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great outing for you and the girls. I am not a big football fan and didn't watch any of it including the commercials. BTW - which lens did you use for these pics as they are perfect! #ProductReviewParty
