Day Date with Mr. M in Atlanta
Hey Yall! Mr. M and I started having day dates, having dates during the day. Mr. M thought this up last week when we attended an event together and thought that each Monday him and I should go out together since the girls are at school, and he doesn't work Mondays. So now I take off blogging Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays unless I have a post to work on and urgent emails to answer.
I'm glad he thought up this idea because I feel we don't spend enough alone time together although we do spend time at the gym in the mornings during the weekdays.
The best time to go on dates is during the day; fewer crowds, restaurants usually have lunch specials, and not a lot of people on the roads because they're at work.
So far on our day date, we visited Ponce City Market, the historic Sears, Roebuck & Co. building in Atlanta that was reinvented into Central Food Hall, various shops, flats and offices. We took a stroll at Buckhead Village District, which is similar to Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles with high-end stores, and we dine at Fuego Mundo, a South American Wood-Fire Grill located in Sandy Springs.
With us going on these dates during the day, it'll give me a chance to tour around Atlanta without all the commotion of people around. We can get in and get out. Day dates are the best! Plus we can relax and enjoy each others company without having the girls with us. We love our girls, but there are times we need one on one alone time without them.
Everyone, this entrepreneur life is so fantastic! I can do what I want, and live how I want to live. If I don't want to work, hey, I can do that. No more living for the weekend to be able to get out and do things that I want. I'm living life right now; every day is like a vacation to me. I seriously feel like I'm living the retired life.
With both Mr. M and I entrepreneurs, it shows my girls that they can create the life they want to live too, they don't have to live the life that someone else tells them.
Even though I say that Atlanta doesn't feel like home to me, Atlanta is the place where dreams are created, a great place to start your business. Everyone has that hustle mentality and grinding hard to make their dreams a reality. Atlanta is the home of the go-getters. I don't believe I would own my own business still living in California and neither would Mr. M; we were too busy in our comfort zones there.
Since Mondays will be our dedicated date day, I need your help. If you know good places to visit in Atlanta, please let me know. It can be food establishments, museums, festivals, parks, any place you think would be good to have a date during the day.
