I was invited as media to attend the Georgia Aquarium free to review their new exhibit. All opinions are my own.
The girls and I had a fun filled day at the Georgia Aquarium last weekend. We love learning about wildlife and sea creatures so it was great that Georgia Aquarium invited us to preview their newest exhibit Aquanaut Adventure: A Discovery Zone.
We visit the aquarium a couple of times a year and there is always
something new to see and do there. We are always in awe when we step foot in the
aquarium looking at all the different sea life and getting a up close and personal look.
The girls and I arrived at the aquarium and checked in
before we started the 45 minute tour. While
we waited in the ballroom, the girls and I checked out the beluga whales, sharks, and
other fish. There were even divers
inside the tank so that was pretty cool to witness that.
After 10 minutes had past it was time for the girls and I
and our media group to take the interactive adventure inside the Aquanaut
Discovery Zone.
The Aquanaut Adventure:
A Discovery Zone is a 45-minute
experience which allows guests of all ages to learn about aquatic life during
an expedition through a variety of immersive environments. The goal of the
Aquanaut Adventure gallery is to instill a sense of appreciation for the
oceans, lakes and rivers of our planet and an understanding of the organisms
that thrive there. Each guest will be engaged in science, technology,
engineering, or math (STEM)-related activities to provide a glimpse of the
scientific process.
We were greeted by
a tour guide that brought us into a room that looked like a science lab, we sat
down and watched a screen with a fish name Deepo telling us about what are mission
was. After that, the tour guide sent us
to our station to fill in our information like what our team name was going to
be, how old are the people on my team (my team was my girls and I), my email
address, that we had to fill out on a tablet.
Once we filled out our information, a photographer took our photo and we had to carry the tablet with us throughout the discovery zone and it showed us all the places to go and questions we had to answer, when we get the correct answer we get a badge. We had 45 min to complete our entire task and to be frank I thought we wouldn’t finish in time because the girls kept stopping and wanting to feel and look at stuff.

We did a great job
answering all the questions and we completed it with 15 minutes left on the
clock! Now we are officially Aquanauts,
YAY!
We were given a
certificate of achievement which was great so the girls would have something to
be proud of for completing their task.
The girls did not want to leave the aquarium and neither did I so we visited other exhibits and stayed a few more hours.

The Aquanaut
Adventure was so much fun and a great way to have hands on fun and learn all at the same
time! We can’t wait to go back and do
it all over again! Make sure to visit
the Georgia Aquarium and visit the new Aquanaut exhibit, it is included with
your ticket.
