Honest Review of Garnier Fructis Curl Nourish Hair Products: Hits and Misses

Honest Review of Garnier Fructis Curl Nourish Hair Products: Hits and Misses

Garnier Fructis sent me more hair products for free to try out and share my thoughts.

I have reviewed some of their Curl Method product line and gave them mixed reviews, and once again, my reviews with these curl products are the same.

But before I get into the review, Garnier Fructis sent me some of their Curl Nourish products. Garnier Fructis Curl Nourish products are supposed to nourish the hair and give you curl definition.

Also, according to Garnier Fructis, the Curl Nourish products are sulfate- and paraben-free, vegan, and enriched with plant protein and powerful coconut oil. Their expert formulas instantly moisturize locks and help resist frizz.

The three Curl Nourish products that were sent to me: Curl Refresher, Curl Sculpt, and Curl Multi-Use Oil.

Here are my thoughts about each hair product:

Garnier Fructis Curl Refresher Sulfate-Free Reviving Water

According to the bottle, this refresher provides 48 hours of moisture and bounce between washes and works well with all hair types.

It can be used on damp or dry hair, but I prefer to use it on wet hair as a detangler. It works great when my hair is freshly washed, still a bit damp, and instead of using my spray bottle of water, I use the refresher instead.

Now, I haven't used it on dry hair yet, but I can see it working well to revive my hair for next-day hairstyles.

Also, the scent is the same as the typical fragrance of all Garnier hair products, a sweet, fruity scent. If you know, you know!

Garnier Fructis Curl Multi-Use Oil Sulfate-Free Hydrating Oil

This oil contains both coconut oil and vitamin E, giving my hair incredible shine.

I add the oil after using the refresher, then massage it into my hair from root to tip.

The oil can also be used as a deep treatment if your hair is feeling extra dry by covering it with a hot towel or shower cap and leaving it on for 20 minutes. You can leave the hair oil on or rinse it off. I prefer to leave it in my hair.

Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpt Conditioning Cream Gel

Now this conditioning gel disappointed me! Basically, it gave nothing!

Nothing but immediate frizz, no curl definition, and it made my hair look dry!  And, when it completely dried, it created flakes!

My hair never does well with cream gels. So I can't blame the Curl Sculpt entirely.

Honestly, I feel this gel is more suited for people with a looser curl pattern.

I'm happy to see that Garnier Fructis is making hair products for African American hair, but with some tweaking of some of their products, it can work well for people with a tighter curl pattern.

Is Garnier Fructis Curl Nourish Hair Products Worth a Try?

Besides the Curl Sculpt that leaves flakes, if you're looking for affordable curl products, I think Garnier Fructis Curl Nourish is worth a try.
