Hey Yall!  Last week, my fellow car enthusiasts and I met up for lunch and learning about the new 2018 Honda Odyssey and 2018 Honda Accord at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park Atlanta.

Both vehicles are exceptionally stylish and cool family cars, especially the seven-seater Odyssey with so many bells and whistles.  This minivan has easy sliding doors and seats, TV with headphones, cordless cell phone charger, CabinTalk (PA System) to speak with your passengers in 2nd and 3rd row, dry vacuum cleaner, cameras inside the van called CabinWatch to see your passengers in the rear seating, plus so much more!  The Odyssey is more than just the typical soccer mom minivan; Honda made this family van to keep everyone engaged with each other.

The topic of discussion for the day with Honda was about how minivans and sedans are not dead.

Me personally, I'm not much of a fan of either or because for one, sedans are just too small for my family, and two, vans are a bit too big for us.  So, SUVs are the perfect option for my family and me.

I wouldn't necessarily say that sedans and minivans are a dying breed because I still see families driving them both (Odyssey van is the most driven minivan among all of my girls' classmate families) when I pick my girls up from school.  However, there are more SUV's driving on the roads today with compact SUVs like CR-V's and RAV-4's leading the pack.

Honda doesn't think sedan or minivans are unpopular, stating that Civic is #1 and Accord is #2 cars sold in America, with Odyssey being the top choice when it comes to family minivans.

Just like Toyota, Honda's cars are built to last, and they have a loyal fan base who stick with this leading auto brand.

I can't wait to test drive both Odyssey and Accord!  The girls have been begging me to review another van, only because they want to lay back in those lounge chair seating while watching their favorite movies.  Even Michelle told me when she gets older she wants a van for herself.  We'll see if she still feels the same way when she is an adult.

So what are your thoughts, is sedans and minivan slowing dying out?

  2. Yeah, we always get spoiled at these events. I wouldn't mind driving the van either, like during road trips.
