School’s out, fun is in – and Atlanta-based family-friendly destinations have an endless wave of activities on the horizon to keep little ones entertained throughout the season. Adventure-seekers are invited to beat the blazing heat by exploring the new feature exhibit at Children’s Museum of Atlanta, singing along to the Broadway in Atlanta’s presentation of musical sensation MAMMA MIA!, celebrating Christmas in July at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Atlanta or participating in countless other attractions happening around the metro-area. These sun-sational events are designed to entertain and keep families feeling refreshed all summer long!

Summer Comedy Nights at Aurora Theatre in downtown Lawrenceville are a sure fire way to beat summer blues. Throughout the sizzling summer, local and well-known comedians will take the stage to entertain guests with eccentric tales, witty one-liners and an open bar (without the standard two-drink minimum!). Aurora Theatre, Gwinnett’s only professional theatre, will also present The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The classic story of the disfigured bell-ringer who falls in love with an enchanting gypsy is set to appear on the mainstage from Thursday, July 20 through Sunday, August 27, in partnership with Theatrical Outfit.

Parents trying to keep their children from being too sun-kissed will enjoy the multi-sensory explorations, reading club, holiday celebrations and more taking place at Children’s Museum of Atlanta:

On Sunday, June 18, dads will receive FREE admission when they stop by the visitor’s services desk and say, “I’m a proud dad!”
