Fall Makeup Look with Aveda

Hey Yall!  I recently purged out my bathroom cabinets and boy did I have a lot of expired beauty products, I felt like I threw away all of my stashes.

And if it weren't for us moving, those beauty products would be still there collecting dust.  I need to calm down with all the makeup and skincare products; I have way too many stuff that I use a couple of times and then forget.   But hey, that's the life of a blogger, right?  😄

While cleaning and dumping my beauty items, I noticed I didn't have any makeup colors for the fall months.

Then, (ding-dong) the doorbell rang.  Aveda surprised me, yet again, this time with fall makeup from their latest fall collection and their BCA hand relief.

They sure were right on time; I didn't want to miss out, especially with me moving.  It would be all bad that my box filled with colorful goodness get lost in the mail.

Check out the makeup products I received from Aveda:

My thoughts about the items I received is that it's not pigmented enough.  With it being fall, colors are darker and earthy; the Aveda color tones are a bit too soft for my liking.  Maybe I need to add an eye primer to make my shadow bolder.  Also, this could be because Aveda uses only natural ingredients, which is a good thing.  I love their nourishing lippies!  💋

The lotion was very moisturizing and absorbing.   Gives off a therapeutic relaxation, works great when you want to settle in and bundle up for warmth while enjoying a cup of chai tea.

Are you into a more pigmented colors, or softer tones?

  1. Lovely look, but I agree, not very pigmented for a Fall look, more Spring, because they are so soft. I've heard of Aveda but thought they were only skin care. I just did the beauty bin purge as well, lol. Take care Hon and have a lovely Thanksgiving

  2. It looks very natural on you. I have never heard of this makeup brand before but I am not huge on makeup. I have been looking for a lighter makeup so this might be something for me to try! That you for a great post and have a great Thanksgiving with your girls and family!!

  4. Aveda is huge here and I love their hair products but haven't tried the make up. I suspect that because it's natural it won't be real pigmented. You look good though!
