Hey Yall!

So much had been going on with me, but not for the good.  It's like so much happened in my life that struck me all at once.

Like problems with my blog only showing a couple of posts on the homepage, and posts disappearing, I told my graphic designer about this issue, and she kept giving me the run around telling me she was working on it.  This was going on for two weeks, and I had enough, I went on Fiverr.com, found a person that fixes blog issues, and this person fixed my blog within seconds.  Needless to say, time for a new graphic designer.

So I've been told by a now unfriended blog friend that I've been distance towards her, and she doesn't want to be my friend anymore.  Girl really?  I'm sorry, but I live a busy life, I can't just sit on social media chit-chatting with you all day.  When it comes to social media, I like to jump on and then off; it's such a time suck, I find myself losing hours of my life scrolling through my feed to see what everyone have to say or what they've been doing.   Nothing personal.  But friendships come and go, so this friendship was just meant to end.  I wish her well.

I just received a call from my landlord that he is selling the house we're living in.  I knew we should've moved out when our lease had expired during the holiday season.  The reason for staying is because I paid over $1,000 out of my pocket to paint this house since the landlord didn't and I wanted to enjoy a little while longer of the paint I paid for, something he should've paid for in the first place.  Also, I added new blinds as well since the majority of the windows didn't have any.  So basically, he's going to profit off of the money I put towards this house.  Ain't that something?  Now I'm in the process of trying to find a new place to live since he is going to put the house up for sale in July.  That sure does ruin my summer traveling plans.  Wish me luck on my search.

There has been even more drama that I'll just keep private.  The devil has been busy, and I'm not going to let him steal my shine or joy.  This too shall past. I'm going to continue to stay prayed up, and keep putting my trust in God.  I've been through the worst, and he has always shown me the light.

Now that I got that off my chest let's talk makeup!  I've been finding myself buying quite a bit of makeup lately to freshen up my look for spring.  I usually do the same makeup looks year around, but I wanted to change things up a bit.  Check out the makeup products I've recently purchased.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector- Spring and Summer calls for that sun kiss glow, and I've been loving seeing those sparkling cheeks and nose highlights people have been doing called strobing.  It really gives the area enhancement, with a natural golden glow.  When the light is hitting on your face just right, your face shimmers.  But you got to be careful using too much of this, or you'll be a walking disco ball in the face.

bareMinerals Prime Time Eyelid Primer-  One day I made a stop to bareMinerals to replenish my facial powders, and the associate showed me products I should try out.   If you wear eyeshadow, it's good to use an eyelid primer underneath, so your shadow has staying power all day without the feathering.  Plus I noticed the eyeshadow goes on bolder.

bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow- (Colors- Whirlwind, Happenstance, Anticipation, Meant To Be)  This is another product the associate showed me, which is their latest shimmery eye shadow.  Very glittery; however, color is not that pigmented, more of a neutral tone.  I'm not into all that brightness on my eyelids, so the colors work for me, but a bit too shimmery.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner-  I'm not very good when it comes to using eyeliner, but this Stila eyeliner is perfect for beginners.  No dipping in ink, it's like a pen you draw on your eyes, making thin or thick dark lines every time.  I highly recommend it.

  1. Hi Lou
So sorry to hear about your issues and glad you've gotten them resolved. Don't know have time for that! Good luck with the house hunt too. Your face looks so beautiful. I love how you apply it so perfectly. These are some great products listed here too. I actually like the shimmering eyeshadow and will have to check out.
Changing subjects- I'm looking for someone to design my website. Any suggestions? I wanted to do it myself, but now considering paying someone to get it set up.

God got you covered and this too shall pass.

    1. Thanks Janet! With more time on my hands, I've been checking out makeup more. A lot of good makeup products out there.

Fiverr.com is where I found my current graphic designer. You can check out that site, and find one with good ratings. Let me know if you find one, especially if this person is local.

    1. Thanks girl! I've overcome a lot, which makes me keep a positive outlook and keeping faith.

If there is a Sephora where you're at, test out the Becca shimmers, Topaz is my favorite with the golden tone. I also have Opal which is more of a silver shimmer.

  4. Girl, sorry you're going through, but just as you said you're going through it and not staying in it! Can't wait to see where you end up staying. Love that NYX. Is it Spice cake? That's the one I've been rocking.

  7. Your eyeliner is on fleek (as the kids say these days). Sorry to hear about your rough patch. I know how you feel about making improvements to a rental and then having to move out. It's annoying. You'll find something even better! #ProductReviewParty

  9. Let me first say that you have that face that needs no enhancement, but I love the makeup choices you've made for the spring. Very festive and fun! I found a lot of MAC makeup on sale, and having found various coupons, my mascara game is strong, girl.(lol) I think when we first get started in the blogging world we tend to dedicate more time to it, I know I sure did. Before I knew it it seemed to get bigger and bigger, then I began all these new projects, I found that I was ding the same as ou, jumping in and out of social media. It would have been awesome if that friend just made a quick joke about how she missed you or something, then laughed it off. It's sad that she didn't get you, but it was awesome and classy that you wished her well. I have friends that I may connect with with once or twice a year because we know we're busy, and when we talk, we can talk for hours and hours just catching up. Then they'll hear from me later in the year. (lol) I'm sorry about the house, and feel like you're going to find something even more fabulous. Yikes on the graphic designer!(lol) Lot of hugs and well wishes from NC
