Hello Spring!
All this warm weather got me spending all my cash! LOL! Just kidding! But it has me freshening up my wardrobe for spring.
We didn't really have a winter here in Atlanta, pretty much was a couple of frigid weeks then the sun came out to bless us with sunshine and mild weather. I didn't mind a bit at all, I'm not a fan of winter, I'm always trying to get away from it by traveling to warm climates.
The clothes I've been wearing during the winter months have been nothing more than t-shirts, yoga pants, and sweats, seem like my fashion sense has gone down the drain after leaving my job. All I cared about was wearing comfortable lounge around clothing, not caring how tired looking I was.
But something about springs makes me want to freshen up, start new, get myself back together. Even though I work from home, I don't need to look like I just crawled out of bed and stayed that way all day.
My favorite past time during the week is window shopping, checking out the latest fashions and what's on sale.
I picked up some outfits to help kick off spring right with a more stylish upbeat look. I still want to make sure that my outfits are casual, yet chic. I'm not giving up on t-shirts, but sweats will be buried away in my closet, yoga pants will still be worn when I hit the gym.
Purchases were made at New York and Company, Old Navy, and JCPenny's.
Now y'all know how much I love New York and Company, I had to make sure to get some spring clothes there. Their clothes fit me well and hug me in all the right places. Hides all the mommy lumps and bumps. They create their clothes with average size women in mind.
Old Navy, I have a love and hate relationship with them. This year, their clothes have been ill-fitting to me. It's like their clothes were not tailored right for my body, way too big, or either too small. I had to make several returns. I'm top heavy, so their blouses and dresses don't fit me well, have my girls bustin' out, so instead I'm stuck with only buying t-shirts and button ups with them. What a bummer. I hope they get it together.
It's been awhile since I shop for clothes and shoes at JCPenny's, but they lure me back when they started their buy 1 get 1 for a penny deals. They should've never taken away that deal in the first place. I've wanted a kimono cardigan for a long time for days when I'm wearing a t-shirt or tank top and want to cover my arms with something light, yet still make my outfit look super cute. This silhouette gives a boho chic vibe, which I adore. Also I bought myself a pair of gladiator wedges, you can't go wrong with wedges.
Old Navy is a hit or miss for me also. I don't like their drab colors it's working my nerves. I love New York and CO. I have also been shopping Lane Bryant more and forever 21 they have some great things.
ReplyDeleteOld Navy colors are pretty dull, they need a kick with their colors, also better fitted clothing.
DeleteI went to Lane Bryant for the first time a few weeks ago and got a couple of bras. I'll be going back to check out their tops. Hopefully they have some sales, because when I went their prices was high as heck!!!!
It's been years since I shopped at Forever 21. I assumed that their clothes were more tailored to teens, and the fit wouldn't be good for me since I'm curvy. I'll need to go back and check them out again, also check out H&M since they always seem to have sales.
Hi Lou, I do like the graphic Tees.. not surethane I'm sold on the skirts yet. Will need to start updating my spring looks too.
ReplyDeleteI use to be not into skirts that much either. But now I like the ones that are meant for causal wear when I'm at home, or out and about with the girls. Oh yeah, also when I'm on vacation.
DeleteRight now, a lot of stores are having spring break sales, you should check them out Janet. And check out Retailmenot.com for coupons.
Very cute! Graphic tees are my favorite!

Thanks girl! I love that graphic tees can be dressed up and down.
DeleteGirl, your pics are bomb! Love all of these on you. NYC used to be my fave too.
ReplyDeleteCute outfits! I haven't did any shopping for Spring clothes yet. I bought a lot of off season stuff last year for my kids. So I only have a few things to get for them. As for myself since I'm learning to sew, I want to try to make some stuff for myself.
ReplyDeleteBuying off season stuff is the smartest thing to do. You save a lot of money doing it that way.
DeleteI need to learn how to sew, I would be sewing all of my outfits if I knew.
My favorite is the plaid button up! So cute
ReplyDeleteThanks Adelina!
DeleteThese are nice Lou!! You look cute! I love that jean dress and the skirt that kind of folds! You are ready for spring!
ReplyDeleteI love the graphic tees and that first dress looks awesome on you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Penelope! I'll be wearing those graphic tees often during the spring months.
DeleteAll these outfits look beautiful and you look gorgeous on those...
ReplyDeleteThanks Amila! :-D
DeleteThey all look lovely on you. I have not Spring shopped yet. I so want a jeans dress like you have! I know what ya mean about JCpennys deal they should of never got rid of the coupons they used to do too but thankfully they are back now! #productreviewparty
ReplyDeleteYou got time to shop Suzie. I usually buy my clothes between seasons.
ReplyDeleteThat was the worst mistake when JCPennys took away the penny deal. I stopped shopping for clothes from them and only purchased home goods.
Super cute clothes! I usually shop at the Lane Bryant Outlet store. They have great sales so I am able to get what I need and stay on budget.
ReplyDeleteSpring shopping? What is that? I haven't bought clothes for myself in like 3 years! But I do need to get some stuff for my 5 year old son who keeps growing out of everything. So that will be my spring shopping. :-) #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteVisiting from De Divah Deals and I like what I read, so I will be back to read more. Enjoy your Life!
