Brighter White: Which Products Really Get Your Teeth Clean?

Clean teeth are the building blocks to having a beautiful smile. You must regularly brush, floss, and wash your mouth to ensure that bacteria gets removed from your teeth, they get re-mineralized, and the dentin interior becomes whiter.

The problem is, not all teeth cleaning products are created equal. Some address only certain aspects that can detract from your smile. Let's examine the products that really get your teeth clean, in an attempt to make those pearly whites even brighter.

Crest Pro-Health Advanced Toothpaste

Toothpaste represents one of the essential products your teeth need to stay clean. Even the most basic fluoride-containing toothpaste will succeed in removing plaque from your teeth, which is the main cause of tooth decay and a contributor of teeth staining. Regular toothpaste won't, however, make your teeth whiter.

Toothpastes like Crest Pro-Health Advanced Toothpaste incorporate a comprehensive package of treatment options. This products utilize a combination of stannuous fluoride, which deters plaque growth and hardens enamel, and sodium hexametaphosphate to fight staining and tartar.

Flossing with Fluoride-Coated Floss

Flossing will reach areas between your teeth where regular brushing can't. While you may know that this will aid in the prevention of dental cavities, it will also help keep your teeth whiter when you utilize fluoride-coated floss on a regular basis. The idea behind this is that teeth are more than just simple, two-dimensional structures. Damage on the sides can spread to the remainder of the tooth and cause decay.

As an alternative to fluoride flosses, you may use mouthwash products with whitening elements. Crest 3D White, Scope Whitening Mouthwash, and Listerine Healthy White Mouth rinse can be paired with regular flossing to achieve the same whitening results.

Tooth Whitening Products

At-home tooth whitening strips and gels can be an effective way to make your teeth whiter, but it's worth noting that you should be careful while doing so. Most tooth whitening products will utilize hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth. This chemical affects the dentin interior of the teeth, which is what removes stains and makes teeth appear whiter.

The challenge is finding a reliable and safe product. You may find that your teeth do not have an even shade after using some of these products, which is why they can detract from your smile's beauty while making it whiter. Crest 3D White Luxe Whitestrips Professional Effects is one of the leading at-home products. It utilizes the same ingredients that dentists will use, but delivers them in a way that is safer for most people to use.

Professional Treatments

Whitening treatments from dentists and qualified clinics like the Art of Dentistry Institute represent the safest way to acquire whiter teeth. Professionals can even out the shade of your teeth before and after teeth whitening, while ensuring your teeth do not encounter unhealthy side effects from the whitening process.

Compared to at-home whitening, professional treatments take just a few appointments while having the ability to offer significantly greater whitening results.

The most important thing to take away about teeth whitening is that there are two stages every person will need to undergo: the whitening of your teeth, and the proceeding maintenance required to keep your teeth white. A professional dentist is the best option for the initial whitening stage. Products that eliminate plaque while providing a subtle continuous whitening will help to keep your teeth as bright as they should be.
