The Most Unique Family Christmas Cards You Should Consider This Year

The Most Unique Family Christmas Cards You Should Consider This Year via www.productreviewmom.com

Whether you have children or you are celebrating your first Christmas together as a couple, there are some unique family Christmas card ideas that can pass along some cheer to family and friends. Some of the pictures for the card can be taken outdoors to give more of a winter background while others can be taken inside so that you can use a few more props.

Naughty Vs Nice

If you want to have a little fun with the card, then consider lining everyone up against a background that looks like you are in jail. Each person can pose like they have done something naughty with an explanation of why they did the job. The card can read something about explaining to Santa why everyone is in trouble. Then list the reasons why they might be on the “nice” list. This is great for families with young kids who always seem to be up to something
mischievous.

Going Digital

There are several things that you can do with technology, especially when it comes to a card. Everyone in the family can sit on a couch to take a picture, but each person should be in some kind of funny pose. When the picture is edited, the couch is removed, and other details are drawn into the picture with white lines. This gives the appearance that the family is suspended in air with a Christmas tree and other items in the room around you.

Tying Up The Parents

This is a cute idea for children to do with parents. Everyone should have on pajamas or the same color of clothing for the picture. The children can use ribbon or Christmas lights to tie up the parents. The parents can make a surprised face about the children taking charge. If you want to add a little playfulness, then consider letting the children hold play guns in the picture, but this should only be as a fun tactic.

Candy Canes

Each person in the picture wears either red or white. Each person will stand beside the other for a normal picture. When the picture is edited, the layout will be turned so that the red and white alternate and are in the shape of a candy cane. You can also hold candy canes in a picture to create a heart. This is an idea for a couple who doesn't have children or a couple who want to announce a pregnancy.

Matching PJs Or Ugly Sweater

Consider getting everyone matching pajamas, or even go with the ugly sweater theme. This can be done cheaply with online coupons found at Discountrue for places like Kohl’s. When you shop at the same place for everyone in the family, it is easy to get the matching look you want. This theme can be as cute or goofy as you want.

Christmas is a time to get a little creative when it comes to pictures. You can use lights or a simple background in the picture for a playful effect. Include everyone as a part of the scene so that the card captures the personality of each family member.

  1. I do Christmas cards sometimes. I usually go with Yankee Candle or Hallmark cards though. However, I love the Naughty vs Nice and the Tying up the Parents ideas. #ProductReviewParty

  4. Every year I buy PJ's for Christmas morning. I like the idea of taking a family Christmas picture in them.
