Road Trip Necessities
Road trips can be fun to do. However, you have to make sure that you have all of the necessities or it could turn into a nightmare. Today, I am discussing some of the road trip necessities that you need to have.
Even if you have a GPS system in your car, you always want to make sure that you have maps available too. They can help you find detours to explore and if you find yourself lost, you can always pull them out.
All smartphones have travel apps available and you need to have some installed. They will make finding last minute accommodations and rest areas easy. You also want to have weather apps installed so you can know what to expect in real time, weather wise, during your trip. If you are traveling with young children don’t forget to download a few apps to keep them entertained.
Snacks and food is necessary so you can save money from eating out. Fresh fruit, a cooler full of water, granola bars and other similar items will do the trick. They won’t take up much space in your car and when returning home all you have to do is restock and you are good to go.
Wipes, hand sanitizer, phone chargers, cleaning wipes, and similar items are essential. You never know when a rest area will not have toilet tissue available; so you have to make sure that you have the items that you absolutely have to use. It is also suggested that you have a First Aid Kit in your car that is fully stocked.
During your road trip, you will be driving for several hours or more while your passengers will just be riding. You want to make sure that your shoes and clothes are comfortable and have pillows and blankets available for your passengers.
During your road trip there are going to be many memorable moments. It is crucial that you have a camera available to capture as many of them as possible. You want to make sure your camera is fully charged and you have a spare battery available. If you plan to take photos with your cell phone, make sure you have a portable charger packed and fully charged.
Before going on a road trip you have to make sure you have all of your necessities. If you do not, you will find your fun trip turning into a nightmare quick.

Love all these tips! I'm planning on doing a few posts since we'll be spending the majority of the summer in Central Florida and then traveling throughout the state and up to Savannah, Ga.

Yeah my GPS was so off while I was heading back home from Florida. GPS had me all in the boonies driving along dark highways.
