If there was a group for mascara addicts, I would be the leader. I never go anywhere without mascara and I am always on the hunt for the perfect mascara. In this quest to find the perfect mascara, I have tried a ton of mascara and know my way around a good mascara.
This mascara claims to give the lashes incredible volume and curve. This mascara is supposed to do all of this in one stroke and leave no clumps.
I used this mascara until it was too dry to use anymore (and that says something). For starters, this mascara holds a curl like nobody’s business. I use a Tarte eyelash curler. This mascara held the curl for about 8 hours. It held the curl for even longer when I layered it over my Clinique Lash primer.
Now for a few negatives about this mascara. First off, this mascara was not even close to clump free and it got worse the drier this mascara got. I also have to disagree with this mascara being a “one stroke” because I had to go over my lashes a couple times to get the effect that this mascara claimed to give. I also found that although the brush was great for the upper lashes, it was not good for the bottom ones. The brush was too big to really define the bottom lashes and I would get mascara on my under eye area.
I do believe that this mascara is a great drugstore pick and I recommend it for anyone who is looking for an affordable mascara or a mascara that is going to hold a curl for a long time.
What are your favorite mascaras, both drugstore and high end? Is anyone else a mascara addict like myself?
Stay beautiful,
Sarah

Overall it sounds like a good mascara! If the formula is a really good one, maybe using a sample testing wand (like you can pick up from Sally's) for the bottom lashes might do the trick.
ReplyDeleteI honestly didn't even think of that! That's a great idea, I will have to try it :)
DeleteI think Rimmel makes pretty good mascara. I've seen this one around but haven't tried it out yet.
ReplyDeleteI like Rimmel products and have a few tubes of mascara, but Maybelline just introduced a new mascara that I simply love! #ProductReviewMom
ReplyDeleteI've only tried one Rimmel mascara and it wasn't good at all. But I've seen lots of great reviews of some of their new ones so I need to get my hands and try some! Great review!
