Happy Valentine's Day- The Penguin Chicks Are Here!

After visiting the Georgia Aquariums newest exhibit The Aquanaut Adventure: A Discovery Zone, the girls and I explored around the aquarium to see other exhibits inside.  One of our favorites was checking out the African Penguins.  I love seeing them waddle from side to side and interacting with each other.  What I did notice while I was there were several pregnant penguins nestled in their nest keeping their egg warm while the male penguins would keep guard and not let any other penguins come into the nest.

I just received an email from The Georgia Aquarium and this Valentine’s Day Georgia Aquarium is sharing the love with their new penguin chicks! They are excited to welcome four African penguin chicks to the Georgia Aquarium family. This year marks the fourth year in a row of their successful penguin breeding program.

Aren't they cute, I can't wait to visit them!  The penguin chicks can be viewed behind the scenes in the Georgia-Pacific Penguin Nursery beginning in late February.   Make sure to plan a visit soon.

Have a Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!
