Grocery Delivery Service in Metro Atlanta Area- ElephantGrocers.com Review

Grocery Delivery Service in Metro #Atlanta Area- ElephantGrocers.com Review via www.productreviewmom.com
I received a gift card to purchase food items to try out Elephant Grocers services.  All opinions are my own

I always wondered if there was a grocery delivery company in the Metro Atlanta area because I’ve been tired of wasting my time in grocery stores every other day.

I have a very hectic schedule, I work full time, full time blogger, handling my household, my girl’s school functions, not to mention I’m also starting to travel a lot too.

I’ve seen bloggers in different states posting about using grocery delivery services and how convenient it was for them and I grew a bit jealous because I need services like this too to make my life a bit easier.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I have found a grocery delivery service that delivers fresh and delicious organic foods in my area- YES!

ElephantGrocers.com contacted me to try out their delivery service and to give my thoughts about it.  You know I jumped quickly on this opportunity since I’m in desperate need of this.

Now, thoughts were going through my mind about how does this service work?  Since I’m always on the go, will my food be just sitting there at my front door all day and my food will go bad?  Will I need to be at home for them to deliver my foods to me?  How fresh will my food be?

My Review

While browsing through the many pages of yummy organic foods that Elephant Grocers has to offer I noticed that they resemble the grocery store Whole Foods.  Their graphics on the site is very inviting, colorful, and makes you want to put everything in your shopping cart!

Since I stay outside of Atlanta, the delivery days for my area are Tuesdays and Fridays but if you live in Atlanta you get next day delivery service.

Shopping on the website was a breeze and very easy to use.  I found myself spending over $100 on their site because everything looked so nicely displayed, plus I was hungry when I was shopping- LOL!

I also like the fact this website is more than just food items, I can also get household items as well like cleaning products and health and wellness products.

I did my grocery shopping on a Wednesday and my delivery day was for Friday but I can also choose to have my groceries delivered on Tuesday.

When Friday arrived, first thing in the morning right when Mr. M was about to take the girls to school he opened the door and saw our packages of foods neatly stacked in front of our door and we heard a truck driving off.  I’m so happy Elephant Grocers delivered our stuff first thing in the morning because I stay in apartments and was worried my food would sit all day and someone would take it.

Mr. M and I both carried our packages in and he quickly left to take the girls to school and I started inspecting the food packages.  I see the way they package the food it can stay cold for days.  When I started opening up my food packages I was very impressed to see how fresh my produce were, not even the grocery stores I shop at has fresh produce like this.  You know how you purchase strawberries and grapes and their are a few rotten ones in the bunch?  Well none of my fruits has anything rotten in it.

My meats I purchased were frozen but I already knew they would be because on the website there is a frozen symbol next to foods I choose that will come frozen.

Ever since I went to the Wow Summit conference I told myself that I’ll start eating foods that are organic, doesn’t have added hormones, no GMO, and this website is prefect to help me get my diet on the right track.  Yes, their prices are a bit on the high side but like I said it is like shopping at Whole Foods.  When you shop for the first time on their website you get 25% off your order so that helps to lower your bill.  They also have sales too!

Elephant Grocers do sale non organic food products but the majority of their site is healthy food items.

Is Elephant Grocers Worth a Try?

Absolutely!  If you’re like me looking for convenience when it comes to grocery shopping, tired of standing in long lines, looking for fresh organic foods that you would feel good serving to your family, ElephantGrocers.com is a great website to use.  They also recycle their boxes so on your next food order purchase you leave their boxes at your front door and they will pick them up.

Did you know that Elephant Grocers offers rewards points too?  Below is how it works.

  1. Great post! I have been looking for a store that delivers for a while now so I was quite happy to read your post. I especially like the fact that they deliver outside the city. Just like you, I am extremely busy and there are times when I just can't make it to the grocery store to shop. I am going to have to give them a try.

  2. I would love it if we had a service like this in Arkansas. This looks like it would be right up my alley since it features a lot of organic and non-GMO items. The only grocery service we have is Schawn's and I like them, but there items are all frozen. Having a fresh grocery delivery service would be nice too.

    1. This service would be prefect for you Sonya! I remember your post about Schawn's but unlike them I really enjoy how Elephant Grocers deliver a lot of fresh foods that are not frozen.

  3. I've always wanted to try grocery delivery. They had a company called Peas Pod when I lived in Maryland. I will definitely take advantage of this when I come home.

Great review. I have noticed places like this and was curious if they were worth the price. I am glad to hear that it is working for you. We might try it because we are on a quest to be and eat better.

  5. Years ago I had a food service deliver my meats, but I had to order large quantities and pay for one of their freezers. This sounds so much better! I don't think we have a grocery delivery service here, but I sure would use it if we did. Grocery shopping is not anywhere on the list of my favorite things to do.

  6. Wow, I wish I lived closer to a metro area. We live in a rural area, and there are no grocery delivery services. I love the way everything was packaged so nicely!

  8. This is awesome. Thanks for reviewing this. A reeeallly long time ago (when I was just like 19 or 20) there was a grocery delivery service in Atlanta and I tried it out. I guess because it was just the beginning of this service, it wasn't very good. But, it looks like these guys have their act together. I'm excited!!

  9. What a great service! And I love that they recycle the boxes, too. This would be a great thing for people who are having company or when the nasty germs hit this winter and things get too hectic to leave the house.

  10. This is awesome, I wished we had something like this in Delaware. Hubby and I were just reminiscing about the milk man making deliveries in the 60's.
