The fall months can be just as harsh on the skin as the summer months. As the weather changes from hot to cold, it can chap the skin or leave it looking dry, improperly hydrated and tired. Daily moisturizers work well to prevent this but you can also use natural remedies too. For good skin hydration, consider using just Greek yogurt, cucumber and fresh mint. Yes, this is similar to a dressing used on salads and gyros, but it works wonders for hydrating and rejuvenating the skin.
Use Glycol Acid Containing Serums
Sun
exposure along with pool chemicals and salt water can add an extra thick dead
skin cell layer to the body. This leaves the skin looking dull and tired. Wake
it up by using a glycol acid serum. The serum helps to safely remove the dead
skin layer, over time, to make your skin look radiant and healthy again.
Light Chemical Peel
Either
microdermabrasion or a light chemical peel work to take dead skin particles off
the face. The idea behind this is to force exfoliation and open up the skin’s
pores to allow healthy nutrients into them. This acts as a rehydration and
nutrient booster for the face, making it look and feel healthier.
Look for Sun Spots or Signs of Sun Damage
Sunspots
are sometimes hard to notice. Sun damage can leave streaks, wrinkles or
extremely dry patches on the skin. If you notice a bit of sun damage, you can
have a couple of procedures done called IPL or Intense Pulsed Light treatments. This uses a series of 3 to 6
treatments to dull dark spots and even out your skin tone.
Your skin is one of the most important parts of the body to take care of. It is what the public sees the most. When your skin is not healthy, it shows. Make sure that you hydrate and moisturize daily. This helps the skin to be more resistant to changing weather conditions. Conditions can be harsh in the fall months, take the necessary time to keep it healthy all year round.

I just started an enzyme peel. I love it. It's so expensive for the bottle, but it lasts over 3 months. About a dollar a day or less.
ReplyDeleteThat is not bad at all Paris.
DeleteHmm I didn't think about removing dead skin cells from summer exposure. Though I didn't spend much time outside this summer - working full time means seasons don't matter heh.

If you wasn't in the sun much I don't think a peel would be necessary for you.
DeleteI haven't done a peel before - I need to give that I try. I always moisturize my face and neck, but I need to get better about moisturizing my legs and arms in the fall/winter.
ReplyDeleteI got to get better at moisturizing too Paris. My skin is starting to pay the price of my bad choices.
DeleteI needed this! It's starting to cool off a little here and I was noticing my skin is getting dried out a lot more. I need to look into a peel.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely look into it Jenna! It'll help out a lot.
DeleteThese are some interesting ways to take care of your skin. Admittedly, I'm pretty bad at taking care of my skin, though I do make sure I take my make-up off every day, I mainly just use a toner. I'll definitely have to look to some of these things to improve my skin this season!
ReplyDeleteThat is very good you remove your makeup everyday, if not, that could really be bad for your skin.
