Spring is here!  Finally, because winter was brutal out here in Atlanta.  Two ice storms and being stuck in my apartment for a week both times gave me the worst case of cabin fever ever!

With that type of cold weather, my skin has really taken a beating- it looks like I've been bathing my skin in ash, yikes!

Warmer weather is on the horizon now and I like experimenting with new beauty products each season.

I recently came across products that I'm really crushing on right now and wanted to share them with you all.

Here are my current beauty product crushes:

EOS Lip Balm-  I found out about these lip balms from reading several blogger's posts raving about them.  I just had to go pick up myself one because Winter had my lips looking like crust, lol (just kidding)!  After using EOS, I noticed a complete difference in my lips- my lips are softer and moisturized.  My lips were moisturized all day without reapplying, seriously!  This lip balm works great before applying your lip stick.

Ben Nye Makeup Mojave Visage Poudre-Luxury Powder -  I love following makeup artist on Instagram.  I've noticed a lot of them use Ben Nye powder for highlighting.  I'm starting to really get into contouring and highlighting my face and since this powder had amazing reviews and I also had a Amazon gift card to spend, I purchased it.  The powder works very well for my skin tone and blends well.  It helps highlight the areas I want on my face like my under eyes.

Bath and Body Works (Capri Seaside Citrus)-  It has been a long time since I've shopped at Bath and Body Works, but since I received a free gift card from one of the survey panels I'm with, I went to the store to find some new lotion.  I like wearing sweet fruity scents during the Spring and Summer season and that's why I chose Capri Seaside Citrus.  The scent last all day and provides a all-day moisture.  The scent gives off a laying on the beach soaking up some sun effect.

MAC Studio Fix SPF Liquid Foundation-  When it comes to foundations, I need one that is full coverage, matte finish, doesn't feel or look like I have on a mask, doesn't make me look oily by the end of the day, and helps protect my skin from the sun.  I was using MAC's MatchMaster and unfortunately the coverage wasn't enough and I was oily at the end of the day.  I was introduced recently to MAC Studio Fix liquid foundation and my skin looks flawless wearing it!  I have dark spots and this foundation covers it up without a concealer.  It's very lightweight on my face and I can hardly notice I'm wearing any makeup.  I also like that it has a yellow undertone instead of red.  Only thing I don't like is the price- it's a bit expensive for a small bottle.

Do you currently have a crush on a certain beauty product(s)?

Disclosure- Even though this post contains affiliate links, I only recommend companies that will benefit my readers.

  1. Love EOS been using it for a few years, I used Studio fix before but didn't like the way it looked on pictures it gave me an ashy appearance but yes the coverage is amazing, I love Ben Nye powders I mix topaz and banana for highlighting. I'm crushing on MAC's bronzing powder in golden bronze.

    1. Cookie...girl why haven't I've been using EOS before and just now discovering it? I'm so late in the game, SMH!

I guess with MAC Studio Fix since I have a yellow undertone it works well with me but I notice that mixing it with MAC MatchMaster works wonders and helps to not have a ashy look.

I need to try out those other Ben Nye colors too.

I currently have a bronzing powder from IMAN brand and it's ok, I'll need to check out MAC's.

  2. I am so not a makeup kinda girl LOL! But, I think I will look for the EOS lip balm! Our humidity hovers under 10% during the summer and my lips actually do get crusty LOL :-) Thanks for the heads up!

  8. Hi, Louida! Well, you already know how I feel about EOS -- I actually keep mine in my wallet I love it so much! My other staples are: Bare Minerals Bronzer (I use this in lieu of foundation), my stubby Chanel powder brush (which I've had for years), my ELF Studio Eyebrow Definer Kit, and Indian ghee butter, which I use very sparingly as a moisturizer on the driest areas of my face.

Thank you for sharing your current faves-- I learned about new products today! :-)

    1. You are one of the blogger's that influence me to buy EOS lip balm and thank you so much!

I always wanted to try Bare Minerals. I went into a Bare Minerals store awhile back but they were so busy I walked out. I'll try them again soon.

ELF is starting to become my new fave. Prices are cheap but good quality makeup products.
