When it comes to the products I use on my skin, I know I could do better. Skin care products in stores are filled with ingredients that are damaging to the skin and could lead to life long problems like skin damage or even worst, cancer!
I had the opportunity to review Green Earth Goodness products by Angela who makes 100% organic products for bath, body, and home. Green Earth Goodness' line is made with ingredients that are mostly organic, pure, and 100 percent natural. Their mission is to provide products that are free of toxins.
"We want people to know what is in their products and what they are putting on their bodies and using in their homes"
Their products are not tested on animals and contains no parabens, phthalates, sulfates, surfactants, petrochemicals, animal products (except organic beeswax) or artificial colors or fragrances.
My review:
Organic Body Bar (Lavender) $6.50- Let me start off by saying, this by far is the best soap I've used! Suds up great and really got my face clean without stripping my skin dry. I wear makeup everyday and it cleaned off my makeup pretty much completely! My skin was very soft and smooth after using it. I noticed that my skin started to clear up from acne break outs in a matter of days. I love the smell of lavender and it gives off a calming effect, so I love using this body bar at night.
After Bath Oil $9.99- This oil is non greasy/non sticky and rubs in my skin very well. Just using this oil alone I didn't need to use lotion at all. My skin feels extremely soft and nourished. I'm not much of applying oil to my skin but after using this bath oil I'll start including it in my bath time routine.
Hand and Body Wash Melon and Sunflower $9.00 each- I was able to try out both Melon and Sunflower Hand and Body wash and they were both very good! I love the way they both smell. I feel like I'm giving myself a spa treatment- it's that good! Suds up great and gets my body clean without stripping my skin dry. My favorite fragrances out of the two is Sunflower.

Love, love, LOVE this!!! I am a stickler for good, quality soap products for me, Scott, and the kids. Rule number one: I will NEVER buy -- or use -- a soap or shampoo product containing SLS (Sodium lauryl sulfate).
ReplyDeleteThank you for a great review and for hosting this giveaway! :-)
When it comes to shampoos, I do not use anything with SLS in it. I can't say the same with soaps but after using Green Earth Goodness soap I could tell a huge difference in my skin! I will not buy soaps with SLS in it ever again!

ReplyDeleteAlmond does sounds like a good flavor for lip balm Allie!
DeleteI am by no means an ALL or ONLY organic and all natural, but I do my best to try to buy & use these types of products when and if possible. =0) Natural is always the better way to go, because it just makes you feel better.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of like you Kim. But I'm getting better at it.
Deletei love using organic and natural face washes because i have really dry and acne prone skin so a lot of other soaps cause me to break out form having too many chemicals in the face washes.

ReplyDeleteI'm trying to make the switch over to organic skin care products...I'm in my 40's and had no clue for most of my adult life that what we put on our skin could really affect our health. I think a lot of those chemicals/toxins contribute to my husband's psoriasis.
ReplyDeleteYes, because they are good for the environment.
ReplyDeleteI prefer organic skin products whenever possible. I find them a lot less harsh, since I have sensitive skin. I also appreciate that they use as little packaging as possible. That's very important to me when choosing a product. Thanks for having this open to Canadians.
