Give Yourself a Raise is a campaign that's apart of Raise.com
Being a mom is a full time job within itself. Just imagine working a full time job, handling two
blogs, taking care of the kids, cooking and cleaning, running the household, etc.
Well all that's my overwhelming life. I rarely have time to myself. I'm always doing for others than I do for myself.
Since I'm such a hard working mom, I do like to reward myself - shoot I deserve it!
When I find the time I like to indulge in myself. The rewarding things I like to treat myself to is some retail therapy.
I like to hit up my local mall and visit my favorite store NY & Company and shop for their latest stylish clothes. Just this past weekend I rewarded myself to a day of shopping at the mall and I don't feel any quilt about it at all.
Us moms needs to indulge a little, whether it's eating yummy sweets, having a spa day, or even taking a day trip without the kids.
So pat yourself on the back Momma's for a job well done and Give Yourself a Raise!
How do you reward yourself?

I reward myself with some online shopping or a trip to the nail salon.
ReplyDeleteI love to go online shopping as well! I only do the nail salon to get a pedicure in the Spring and Summer months.
DeleteThis is what I have always struggled with. I feel guilty spending for myself. :(
ReplyDeleteDon't feel guilty, a lot of moms don't. But try to find the time to pamper yourself, even if it's only for an hour.
DeleteI go get a facial or a manicure.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice way to give yourself a raise!
DeleteFood. Isn't that awful?
ReplyDeleteNo Linda, not at all.
DeleteWell, after years of penny pinching, we are closing on our dream home in two weeks. That should count, right?
ReplyDeleteThat sure does count! Congrats on your new house!!!!
DeleteI did a little bit of me time this weekend, great advise!
ReplyDeleteGreat! I hope you'd enjoyed time with yourself Remy!
DeleteI never feel all that guilty about indulging myself. I work hard and I make good money, so why not? Life isn't meant to be all bills and drudgery. Manicures and pedicures are pretty much routine maintenance for me, although I don't spend more than about $20 on them. And I do have a weakness for pretty clothes, though I try not to go TOO hog wild. Probably my big treat to me would be blog conferences or women's retreats - I try to do at least one or two a year. #SITSsharefest
ReplyDeleteI told myself I going to go to a blog conference some day and hopefully it'll be this year. That will be a reward to myself!
DeleteYes, you do deserve it and brava for taking advantage of that raise! Thank you for sharing and linking up with us at the #WWDParty - have a wonderful week ahead!
ReplyDeleteThanks Antionette! Enjoy your week as well!
DeleteReward myself...? Coffee or whiskey. :D
ReplyDeleteLOL! Why not just have both! :-)
DeleteI so agree with this! Handling the 2 blogs on top of the mommy duties must be huge! I'm doing one blog and there was talk about adding on another for a business my husband is doing and I've been second guessing it. Like you are saying, it can be a lot of work! I just know I won't be sacrificing home and family stuff so the blogs will be at minimum a post a week or something like that lol. Hmmm...I love the spa day and the mani/pedi idea! Sounds extremely relaxing and right now I'm expecting so I get tired pretty easily. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Countdown in Style! Don't forget to stop by Friday to see if you are featured :)
ReplyDeleteYeah it's a tough job juggling mommyhood and two blogs but since I enjoy blogging so much it doesn't bother me.
DeleteCongrats on the new baby, you definitely need to relax and enjoy some down time- don't overwork yourself!
I'll see ya Friday on your blog!
Mani pedi is as deep as my pockets go. Juggling it all is tough. I had no idea you did so much. Thanks for linking up to Countdown in Style.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by April!
