e.l.f Studio Products I Got at Walmart

e.l.f Studio ProductsLast week after dropping off my daughters to school, I drove to Walmart to pick myself up some cold medicine since I've been fighting this nasty head cold my youngest daughter gave me.

As always, I must take a detour to the makeup section to see any goodies that catches my eyes.  Even though I like to buy my makeup products from either Macy's or Amazon, I'm really starting to get into e.l.f products after learning about it from a popular YouTube vlogger ItsMyRayeRaye.  e.l.f. makeup products are cheap and has been working pretty well for me so far besides the makeup brushes I got over the holiday season, they're now starting to fall apart.

While browsing the makeup aisles, I found a standalone kiosk of e.l.f. products costing $1 and up.  I was in need of a brush cleaner and seen that they had one for $3. I also picked up their Makeup Mist & Set to try out as well since my makeup starts looking oily towards the end of the day.

All pictures of me below is makeup I've worn more than 8 hours without reapplying or touch ups.

Here are my reviews of both products:

e.l.f. Daily Brush Cleaner-  This anti-bacterial brush cleaner spray can be used daily in-between makeup applications.  You spray on your brushes and then wipe it clean with a cloth.  It's very easy to use and gets the job done.  Also doing this will help your brushes last longer. I like the way this spray cleaner has my brushes smelling all nice and clean.
For deep cleaning, you can use e.l.f. brush shampoo.  I like to use baby shampoo to wash my brushes which works just as good.

e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set- I never have used any type of mist to set my makeup. I always applied my foundation and used loose powder to set it, so using a mist is different for me.  Once my makeup was applied, I sprayed a couple of pumps of mist on my face.  I felt a bit of a tightness at first but that feeling quickly went away.  I will say that thanks to this mist spray my makeup didn't look shiny at all throughout the day and I didn't need to use a blot cloth once.  This spray really does holds your makeup in place!  The mist is suppose to soothe the skin and has aloe, green tea, cucumber, and Vitamins A, C, & E.

Have you used e.l.f. makeup products before?  If so, what do you think of them?

  2. I agree, e.l.f has really affordable products and I cannot complain about the quality. It really works fine with me. I also love the fact that they have huge palettes, very economical in my case :)

  3. I was just looking at the e.l.f. products a few days ago but was hesitant to purchase any of them. I'm so glad I found this review via SITS challenge (hello!) and am now anxious to try them. Especially the mist make-up setter! =) Marcy @ day2day SuperMom

    1. I was a bit hesitant at first too since the price is so cheap but to my surprise their beauty products are pretty good, especially their eye shadows.

  9. Louida, I have used e.l.f. products for years and while I have tried some of the $1, they offer more upscale cosmetics from $3 to $5 online. Believe it or not, the $1 tinted moisturizer really works and it does not break my skin out (like so many products do).
