Garnier B.B. Cream Review. Does It Give Good Coverage Like Regular Foundation?

For a few weeks now, I've been doing a campaign with BzzAgent.com to test the new Garnier B.B. Cream.  Before getting into the campaign, I chose to test the color medium/deep thinking it would be the right color for my brown complexion-boy was I wrong!

When I got the free medium/deep shade and tested it out on the back of my hand first, it was too light for me.  That color is more for non African Americans skin complexions.  So I had to go out and buy the deep shade cream to give my review.

BzzAgent did give me coupons to use but I forgot them at home and just paid about $12 for it at Target which is not that bad compared to what I pay for my makeup at department stores.

The B.B. Cream states that it's oil free and creates a flawless finish.  This sounded great to me because I have oily skin and by the end of the day my face looks greasy.

What I did was apply the cream- which is watery - on my face with my finger tips.  The undertone of the cream is a red base color so my face did look a bit red.  Once it dried- which takes a bit of time, I did need to use my facial powder to create a better smoothed matte finish.  Also with this cream, it doesn't give good coverage if you have dark marks.

After a whole day of wearing the B.B. cream, I was still a bit oily but not as much.  My face did looked really red.  The next day I decided to mix the B.B. cream with my own liquid foundation for a better look and it worked out a bit better color wise.

Is Garnier B.B. Cream Worth a Try?

To me, it actually doesn't live up to its expectation.  It stated that it's for oily skin and helps stop shine but it doesn't do that.  Also the coloring is not really a good match for me since I had to add my own foundation.  I don't like the watery texture which creates a bit of a greasy mess.  Not good with coverage either.
Overall, it's an ok product and since I heard B.B. creams can cost you $50 or more, and this cream is only like $12 to $13 dollars, it's worth to give it a try and see what you think of it.

  1. Great review. I was also able to review this product. My complaint was the colors that they have did not match right with my skin. From afar it looked good but up close you could definitely see how the color was off.

    1. Yeah, coloring is off and way too red for my skin! They need to go back and fix their coloring issues.
